⭐️June Fundraising Highlights ⭐️

What an incredible month it’s been for Aberdeen City Ladies FC! Thanks to the amazing support of our players, families, coaches, officials and supporters, we raised an incredible £3,500+ throughout June. 👏⚽

🚶 Sponsored Walk - 28th June
Our sponsored walk saw 26 players, parents, coaches and officials come together to raise an amazing £2,373. Along the way, we also did our bit for the local community by litter picking.

👏 Congratulations to Kasey-Leigh (U16 Reds), who raised an outstanding £220!

👟 50 Day 5K Challenge
A huge well done to Ryan Adie, who completed his 50 Day 5K Challenge and raised £276.32, generously splitting the funds between Aberdeen City Ladies FC and AFCCT. An incredible achievement!

🥾 Kiltwalk - 7th June
A massive thank you to Kim, our Chairperson, who raised an incredible £1,265 for the club. What an amazing effort!

Every donation, every step and every mile completed helps us continue to provide opportunities for our players and support the growth of girls’ and women’s football in our community.

Aberdeen City Ladies 1 v 5 Elgin Women

Our Ladies started off their pre-season fixtures hosing Elgin, who, following back to back promotions are now playing in the Championship.

With our squad quite stretched with a number of players away on holiday it gave us the opportunity to get a lot of minutes in the legs for players available.

The game started at a fast pace with Elgin creating some chances and ourselves moving the ball well but not creating many clear cut chances. Elgin got a couple of goals that we should have defended better to go in 2-0 up at halftime.

We started the second half well and got a goal back after some excellent work by Emma A who played in Ava A who slotted past the keeper to make it 2-1.

Unfortunately we couldn’t get a second to level the score and Elgin finished the game well to score 3 more and win 5-1.

All in, an excellent test for our team against a good side who have done exceptionally well rising up the leagues since we last played them. Thanks to Elgin for coming through for the game and good luck in the Championship.

It’s the summer holidays but the U10s are still training. Our player of the week is Amelia. She showed great determination in her defending, making some brilliant last ditch tackles. She also did really well at trying out new positions on the pitch and listened well to instructions too. Amelia normally puts in a great shift in goals on match days but training tonight proved she can play anywhere when she puts her mind to it. Keep this up Amelia!

Our Ladies team had their first pre season match this evening v newly promoted to the Woman's Championship League, Elgin City.

U10 Whites player of the week was Charlotte. Not only did she score a brilliant goal at the weekend, she also brought that same energy and effort to training. Charlotte loves to play football and you can see that when she is on the pitch, whether it be in a game or training. She showcased her skills yet again this week. Well done Charlotte, keep it up!
