Last weekend we were at Eastfortune.

Had a fab weekend, apart from Sunday morning practice where I crashed and went into a tyre wall. I was all good, the bike had minimal damage, but my boots took the worst of it as my leg was stuck under the bike while sliding along the track and my leathers have a hole in the elbow 😢 leathers are away getting fixed, boots zip and buckle are done. Good job Iv got the same size of feet as my dad so I could borrow a shot of his boots 😂

I won all 4 races on the 300 🥇

We decided not to race the 250 as we have a busy 4 weekends of racing in the next few weeks.

I got invited to the Isle of Man to represent Scotland in the Celtic races at Jerby race track at the end of September.

Huge thanks to all my sponsors this season.

Knockhill Reverse

It was going to be a tough weekend with me doing back to back races, coming in from the 300 and straight out on the NSF. I really enjoy doing knockhill reverse, it’s my favourite way to ride the track, my dad doesn’t like it so much as it chews up my rear tyre 🫣😂

Thursday practice I was on my 300 and Friday practice I done on the NSF 250, felt really good on both bikes in the dry and was chipping away at my lap times.

Saturday practice and qualifying were both wet, I qualified 1st in my 300 class and 3rd in the lightweights in my NSF.

300 races…

All the races in the 300 were dry.

Race 1- 1st 🥇
Race 2- 1st 🥇
Race 3- 1st 🥇
Rave 4- 1st 🥇

Lightweight/lightweight cup races….

All the races were dry on Saturday and I was starting from P3 on the grid. I knew I’d have my work cut out for me in this class as the NSF isn’t the best at getting off the line against 660’s and F900’s. I got swapped off the line and would be in 9th off the line but would make it up on the brakes going into the first corner into 6th, I’d then have to make my way up to the guys in front, where I was battling with Ryan and Lewis for 4th. My wee NSF didn’t have the power along the straight to keep up with them.

Race 1- P6 overall 2nd in cup class.
Race 2- P6 overall 2nd in cup class.

Sunday warm up was wet and race 1 the track was dramp but drying, we decided to stick with the wets as it wasn’t dry enough for the drys. I got swamped again off the line and had to work from 8th up to 5th where I was battling with Ryan and Declan for 3rd, my tyres where overheating as the track was dry and I was on wets so they couldn’t get the grip I needed to get out the corner to take 3rd and Ryan got me over the line by 0.1seconds to secure 3rd. Second race was the same as the last race having to make my way forward to battle for 3rd, this time I knew I had to get the bigger bikes on the back of the track where i knew I was faster and could make up a gap so they couldn’t get me on the straights.

Race 3- 4th overall 1st in Cup Class.
Race 4- 3rd overall 1st in Cup Class.

East fortune in 3 weeks.

East Fortune Race weekend..

We decided to enter me into both Leightweights on my NSF 250 and the 300 class on my R3. We didn’t have wet tyres for the new bike, so decided to sit out practice & qualifying because the weather was misty with drizzle, which meant I would start from the back of the grid in that class. The weather got better after lunch and stayed nice for the rest of the weekend.

Qualified 1st for the 300’s and start from the back in Leightweights class due to not going out for qualifying because of the weather.

Race one in the 300 class was dry when we got to the holding bay even though it was drizzling and misty. The drizzle got heavier as we went out and I was on dry tyres, so I just took it easy going round as some parts were dry and other parts were wet. The rest of the races turned out to be dry.

I came away with 4 wins🥇

Leightweight race 1 I decided not to go out as its was still damp and I didn’t want to risk going out on drys. The other races I started from the back, which I was happy with because it was my first race on this bike and it’s not the best to get off the line.

Got off to a good start and managed to go from 22nd up the 11th in all 3 races, which I think put me into 2nd in the leightweight cup, which is the group I was enetered into.

Huge thanks to all my sponsors this year, who have helped me massively to get me to where I am just now.

It’s Race Week 🥳

Heading to Knockhill this weekend for the next round. This time it will be reverse direction.

Race report from the last round will be posted tomorrow

Do you have an EBike or Scooter? Come along to FastLane Indoor Raceways with them for a shot on the track. I will be there to give some guidance and tuition. Will be a good day out, so come along and have some fun 😊

In Partnership with Fastlane, Police Scotland are supporting a free weekly session for young people to use their e-bikes and e-scooters on the track at the facility in the Bridge of Don.

These sessions will provide a safe environment for young people to enjoy using their e-bikes and scooters, while educating them on how to ride safely and within the law.

Sergeant Calum Spence said of the plans, "The unlawful riding of such vehicles in public places is anti-social and dangerous for riders, pedestrians and other road users. We are grateful to Fastlane, and hope the sessions will allow the vehicles to be enjoyed safely. I want to remind young people and parents that use of such vehicles in a public place is illegal and if stopped by the Police they may be seized."

Sessions will commence at 5.20pm on Thursday 16th July, at Fastlane, Broadfold Road, and will run weekly dependent on demand.

It’s been quiet on here for a few weeks, as we’ve been off for a few weeks break. Iv had a busy few weeks, out for a spin in Munro Access Lotus, kickboxing, golfing with friends and jogging every other day. Back to racing next weekend at Eastfortune 🙂
