While most of us were still tucked up in bed, these guys were already out on the pitch from early this morning, getting everything set up and making sure the festival was ready to go! 🙌
The pitches, goals, equipment and everything in between don’t magically appear — it takes time, effort and a lot of dedication behind the scenes to make a successful festival happen.

A massive THANK YOU to our coaches for giving up their morning (not forgetting the weeks running up) and putting in the work before a ball was even kicked. 👏💙

You might not be walking across Abbey Road… but you’re definitely Cove Youth legends! 😂⚽️💙

What a fantastic day at the Cove Youth Festival! ⚽️💙

Today was a brilliant reminder that teamwork isn’t just something we see on the pitch — it happens behind the scenes too!
A huge shoutout to all of the amazing parents and volunteers who came together to make today happen. From setting up, cooking the BBQ, serving food and drinks, organising teams, selling raffle tickets, clearing up and doing all the jobs in between — you were the team behind the team! 🙌

Our players get to enjoy the football, but it takes a massive amount of work from the parents and coaches to make days like today possible. Every job, big or small, made a difference. 💙

THANK YOU to all the travelling teams who came along today. We hope you all had a brilliant day, enjoyed the football and had a safe journey home! ⚽️👏

And of course, a massive THANK YOU to all the local businesses who came along today, supported us, donated, and helped make the festival such a success.

We are delighted to announce a new collaboration between Cove Youth Football Club and Abilities United, built on a shared vision of creating inclusive, supportive environments where everyone has the opportunity to participate, grow, and belong.

This partnership is founded on our mutual commitment to:

✅ Inclusion and accessibility for all
✅ Building confidence, wellbeing, and resilience
✅ Supporting positive mental health
✅ Strengthening community connections
✅ Expanding opportunities for girls and underrepresented groups in sport

By combining CYFC's community reach, player development pathways and facilities with Abilities United's expertise in inclusive sport, disability participation, mental health support and girls' engagement, we aim to create meaningful opportunities that positively impact lives across our communities.

This is the beginning of an exciting journey and we're looking forward to making a lasting impact together.

Pre season training started back tonight. Boys were happy to see their teammates after their summer break ⚽️⚪️🔵⚪️🔵⚽️

We’ve definitely got a great bunch of players in the squad. Well done to all the boys who took part in this years champion Street ⚽️

Clarke, Erick and Callum all played for their own areas and did really well for their teams.

Also huge well done for Harry, Matthew and Theo for winning this years P1-3 Consolation Cup Final 🏆

Today we celebrate the dads who stand on the sidelines in all weathers, cheer the loudest, offer the best post-match advice (whether asked for or not 😄), and support our players every step of the way.

A special shoutout to our coach dads 👏 — the ones who give up their time week in, week out to train, guide and inspire the team. Your dedication, patience and passion don’t go unnoticed, and the kids are all the better for it.

Thank you for everything you do both on and off the pitch. We hope you have a brilliant day — you’ve more than earned it! 💪⚽
