Returning to this extraordinary island was a dream. Lotta Jansdotter’s retreat is magic. And this time I was there to teach how to bind all the prints that we made together! Here’s a glimpse of daily swims, block printing, sunset yoga, bookbinding, boat trip, reflections and hugs. Not pictured: Fika, sauna, incredible food, deep conversations and more. If you can, go! After waking early, going down to the sea, watching the water….I submitted my second book proposal. It’s a ‘why-to’ make books, as much as a ‘how-to’ and I can’t wait to share it with you. Splendid Shetland Text & Texture bindings! Inspired by the landscape/people/history; a series of seven, in their own slipcase. Lots of laughs, a bit of swimming, plenty of experiments and unexpected combinations.
