What a week! ☁️

Thanks to ‘s belief and trust in me I’ve landed in a role with that I’ve dreamt of for a really long time.
This was my first real opportunity to be there for our athletes and I’m so full of gratitude for every moment!

Being part of the athletes success in this way is more meaningful to me than when I was racing and in competition. It’s a total dream watching them shine, move through emotions and races and life and being there for them.

On is showing up in the trail world in a massive way. We’ve got the vibe, love and now we’ve the product. It’s absolutely incredible to see what has built. It’s wild.

So so proud of all our athletes, not only for the podiums and races but for the people they are and the love they share and spread ❤️

Thank you to the whole team at On, couldn’t do it without you!

Because I miss running in the mountains so damn much 🥹

4ish weeks done, 10 more days non weight bearing and then the hard work starts 💪🏽

Mentally I’ve surprised myself with how accepting, strong and resilient I feel *most* days.

I’ve learnt more about life than I can write on Instagram. I’ve written so many draft captions that don’t and can’t convey the beauty, peace and kindness I’ve found in every single day.

Maybe to sum it up I can say that at the end of it all, relationships are the only thing we truly have.

My friends and family win hands down 🥰

“Play long enough in the mountains and you’ll have your own stories too…”

I’ve been a bit quiet about this the past weeks as I’ve been processing information about my ankle and making big decisions with my team.

In the end, a ruptured post tib tendon, torn ligaments and a cracked bone in my ankle meant pretty big surgery yesterday.

The real heros and the team at have been incredible; supporting me with love and kindness at every step of the process. I’ve been totally overwhelmed with love from my Chamfam and truly feeling surrounded by constant light and love so despite the loss and pain I’m feeling, life feels very beautiful too ❤️

Recovery will be long and tough but I know I have everything it takes. I’m curious about the new journey, the lessons I’ll take with me and the people I’ll get to connect with along the way.

My surgeon shook a bet with me that I’d be back racing in some months if I work really hard at the rehab 🤝 but for now I’m embracing the slow life (and taking up pétanque as my Spring sport)

Book reccos and pétanque teammate are welcome ❤️

Legit island living 🏝️🤙🏽

8th at Mallorca 50km yesterday and it finally feels like things are slowly coming back together again. I loved every minute out there yesterday and the feeling of being able to race well mentally and physically made me so happy!
I’ve missed that feeling so much!

The best of friends, the best of weekends.

We’re so lucky we get to run (and swim) in these extraordinary places 🦦

Even though Otter didn’t quite go as I hoped it was an incredibly beautiful day out there with memories I’ll treasure forever and ever.

My highlights were warming up with and seeing her finish her first Otter in style 🤩
Sharing miles with and .green before they both dropped my ass on the rocks!
Seeing my dad with 1km to go and hugging my mum at the finish line, and milkshakes with after he finished his 9th Otter.

I’m also really proud of my headspace, for staying happy and positive and very grateful when things weren’t feeling good physically 😊

Onwards with valuable lessons and insights ☀️

I’m going back to my roots and racing 50k this weekend 🇿🇦

Last time I was out on course I was pacing to 2nd place in the 100 mile SIX years ago, pic 3! We were so young!

I’m so excited to be surrounded by the 🇿🇦 trail community and some speedy, flowy (and most likely very muddy) Karkloof trails 🔥
