Lami Paddling Club - Waitui

We had the absolute pleasure of training Team Tradewinds today as they gear up for the BHR Sprint Regatta this Saturday

With race day just around the corner, we went over the basics, fine-tuned techniques, and then decided to have a bit more fun with practice—so we strapped Dear Old Lady Tyre to the front of the canoe for an extra endurance challenge.
A solid session, plenty of laughs, and now it’s all eyes on Saturday.

From Paddles to Poles: Fishing Funday Highlights 🐟

What a morning! We swapped paddles for poles and kicked off a fun-filled fishing competition from 6am to 9:30am. It was a fantastic way to mix things up and bond as a team! 🏅

Congrats to our winners, who not only took home prizes but also some fresh catches for a well-earned lunch! 🏆🍽️ Whether you hooked the big one or just enjoyed the change of pace, it was a great way to connect with teammates, enjoy the outdoors, and maybe even discover a hidden fishing talent. 😎🎣

FROM LAMI TO VUNIMONO!!!

This morning, our incredibly dedicated and fearless junior paddlers undertook the remarkable challenge of paddling two canoes nearly 35km from our Lami training base to Vunimono Village in Nausori, delivering the canoes for the Fiji National Sports Commission to benefit the youths of Vunimono Village and nearby villagers for the week.

After a brief stop at Nasese Seawall to recharge, they pushed forward with unwavering determination, paddling all the way to their destination.

We couldn’t be more proud of their strength, resilience, and commitment! 🙌👏
