It is with profound sorrow and grief that we inform our Lilian Amazons Rugby family and community of the passing of our beloved Club Founder and President, Mrs. Mereseini Tuidraki (Koop), who passed away peacefully shortly before 7:00 AM this morning.

Mrs. Koop was the heart and soul of the Lilian Amazons. Her vision, dedication, and unwavering passion laid the foundation for our club, inspiring countless players, supporters, and families both on and off the field. Her impact on our ruggers and our community will never be forgotten.

Lilian Amazons Rugby Club joined with the many Fijians at the LIT super sevens tournament in Harpenden last month for a shared moment of South Seas fellowship. 🇫🇯 ❤️ 🏉 🇬🇧

🇫🇯❤️ One of the most special moments of the 2026 LIT Super Sevens Series. During the final leg of the LIT Super Sevens Series at National Pub 7s, our Fijian teams came together in song, sharing their culture, passion, and spirit with everyone in attendance. KRA Chiefs, Rewa Rugby, Lilian Amazons, and Kaiviti Rugby Academy stood side by side, creating a moment that reminded us that rugby is about so much more than what happens on the field. This moment held particular significance for us. Last year, LIT7s took a Women’s Elite team to Fiji to compete against the national sides of Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. During that trip, we had the privilege of spending time with the Lilian Amazons, being welcomed into their homes, sharing experiences, and holding a joint training session together. The friendships and connections formed through rugby are something we will never forget, and seeing these teams come together at National Pub 7s was incredibly powerful. We are proud to have so many talented Fijian teams competing in the LIT Super Sevens Series and remain committed to supporting the Fijian rugby community and helping grow rugby sevens opportunities in Fiji and around the world.
