Controlled Balance Kicking with Bob! 👊🏼🥋 (Karate Kicks).
Don’t always train your techniques at full speed. Slowing things down and focusing on control, balance and precision can actually help you become faster and more powerful.
🔹 Better accuracy — you learn exactly where your technique needs to land.
🔹 More power — controlled movement helps build proper structure and mechanics.
🔹 Greater speed — once the movement becomes natural and efficient, speed comes more easily.
🔹 Better balance & control — you develop stability instead of relying on momentum.
Slow practice builds the foundation. Speed comes later. 🔥

Wing Chun Second Form Section👐🏼. Breaking the form down into small sections and repeating them over and over is key to building precision, control and muscle memory. Don’t rush the whole form, master it one section at a time! 👊🏼

Happy Saturday All! 🐉 👊🏼
Here’s a small section taken from second form Chum Kiu and a demonstration of how it can be used on the Bob dummy.
Have a blessed weekend! ☀️
Double Ting Sao practiced on my trusty Bob dummy. The wooden dummy is a great way to practise this technique safely and accurately, helping develop positioning, structure and control. This technique is also practiced single handed to trouble and access smaller targets. I love this technique for many reasons! 🔥👱🏼♀️👊🏼
Triple arm trap ➡️ Triple face palm 👊🏼
This section is taken from the Chum Kiu second form. I love taking sections from the forms and practicing the applications with my trusty training partner, Bob. 😌
Sometimes I just like to freestyle, play around with different Wing Chun techniques and see what flows together naturally! 🔥🐉 Who else does this sometimes?
Have a great week everyone💛👊🏼
Happy Saturday, everyone! 🐉👊🏼
Let’s break down some basic Wing Chun techniques and their practical applications.
As you’ll see, many techniques can be used both inside and outside your opponent’s line — but most Wing Chun practitioners will agree that getting to the outside position is generally the safer option. 👊🏼
My training partner is also considerably taller than me, so you’ll notice we have to make adjustments to certain techniques. This is simply to demonstrate the idea behind the application rather than suggest there’s only one way to perform it.
In a real situation, you wouldn’t try to force a technique to work. Your response depends on so many factors — power, position, distance, direction of energy, height, movement and timing — all while making a split-second decision about what is going to be the most effective and efficient response. ⚡️
That’s the beauty of Wing Chun… it’s not about memorising techniques. It’s about learning how to adapt. 🐉🔥
When the Spice Girls casually drop “Kung Fu fighting” into their lyrics… I’m sorry, but I simply HAD to provide the choreography. 💃🏼🤣
My bestie was just unfortunate enough to be involved. 😂💚
Remember, never take life too seriously- we certainly don’t 🤣
