On Monday September 27, 2026, special guest chefs Walter Sidoravicius of Michelin-starred Ibiza hotspot Omakase by Walt and Japanese-Brazilian chef Yoshihito Mizuno of Belgium’s Sākas join Teyo executive chef Alex Todorov and executive chef at OKU Ibiza, Mark Vaessen, in the kitchen to create a collaborative tasting menu that blurs borders, blends flavours and reimagines fine dining through three distinct creative lenses.⁠

Over the course of the evening, the chefs will be serving their creations directly to your table – with select courses paired with Moët & Chandon Champagnes, followed by a culinary after party in OKU Ibiza’s signature suite. We’ve had the pleasure of working with the incredibly talented, extraordinarily knowledgeable and ever-so-humble Joanna Hruby for quite a few years now – she’s been the author of some of the most fascinating articles about island heritage, myths and legends in our magazines. This year, in addition to enlisting her to explore the importance of the wind in Ibicenco folklore, we turned the tables on the puppeteer and storyteller, when interviewed Joanna herself for this piece.
The result is a tale filled with whimsy, creativity, mythology and endless inspiration.

The accompanying photos, which involved and following Joanna and her favourite puppets on an adventure through a fairytale-like glade to find an ancient well before returning to her studio, give you a sneak peek beyond the veil.

After a brief stormy interlude, the sun is back on the white isle and there’s still a few weeks left to enjoy what many locals will tell you is the best time of year in Ibiza. We’re still taking last-minute villa bookings and some of our favourite villas are already filling up fast for summer 2027. Finca Tomás is one of them!

Romantic and rustic, its spaces feel as though they are imbued with long lost stories of days gone by – because they are. The five-bedroom Ibiza villa boasts a rich and storied history as a productive local farmhouse and olive press dating back to the 18th century. Traditional whitewashed walls, terracotta tiling and rough-hewn wood beams are juxtaposed with lavish furnishings, natural fibre textiles, sleek bathrooms and antique pieces from across the globe. Some houses possess character, others have soul, but this incredible historic home in the hills between Santa Inés and San Mateo also boasts a legacy that dates back to the 1700s, and in the process of its meticulous reconstruction, it also came with a whole lot of surprises for new owners Mark Willems and Renske de Bruine.

Over the course of a lazy afternoon exploring the incredible 14-hectare grounds – while photographer LUANA FAILLA captured it all on camera – White Ibiza creative director Missw Ibiza got the scoop on it all, from the (probably true) rumour about it once being traded in a card game gone wrong, the way locals would flock to the enormous balsa to swim after local fiestas at the nearby church and the serendipitous phone call that led to it finally being acquired and restored to its original glory (and then some!).

If these pics are making your mouth water (and if you’re human, we can’t say we blame you!), then you need to add Jaïs Ibiza to your must-eat-at-before-the-season-is-over list, pronto!

The first Balearic outpost for the famed Parisian chef Jaïs Mamoun (who’s considered gastronomic royalty in France), the fine dining destination is hidden within an exquisitely restored, easily accessed finca on the San José road. The menu is French at its core, bien sûr – in fact, it’s unapologetically au français.
