Mikrohunt

The roebuck season in Sweden starts in two days and I am full of hope and butterflies! I hope you’re going and I hope you get a buck!!!

I was supposed to do half an (1.9 km swim, 90 km bile and 21.1 km run) yesterday but swimming was cancelled due to green alge in the water🤢
As the oldest I was afraid I would finish last but I actually finished first 😲. Not the world champion I know - but still happy😍

Last night’s wild boar hunt was a success 💪but was was challenged by moonlight and a LOT of roedeer

Wildboar hunting in Sweden. Crops are high and it won’t be easy - but we are absolutely going to give it a go🐗🤛

Anybody can learn how to shoot. The trick is what to shoot and when NOT to shoot. Animal age, potential, position, background, proper support etc.
He nailed it - my son The Hunter! But it doesn’t end with the shot.
Then come the emotions. The wait, the search, the fear of having done something wrong and finally the relief 😮‍💨

But it doesn’t end here. Now comes respectfully taking care of the animal in order to preserve the meat and finally turning it into meals for the family.

It is such a pleasure to observe how this young man who was for so many years tagging along on hunts, now is on the gun and I get to be in the background🤛

Has the roebuck rut begun where you are? We didn’t see a single roedeer🫣… I admit it could just be the quality of the calling 📯😂
