Ireland vs Italy
Ireland will be desperate to bounce back after their opening defeat to France, but Italy arrive with momentum after edging Scotland in Rome. The Azzurri are no longer pushovers, and this clash could be tighter than many expect. Their opening win really has put the cat amongst the pidgeons!!!. Can they back it up in Dublin? either way it has injected fresh intrigue into the match as well as the tournament

Scotland vs England (Calcutta Cup) 17.40
The Calcutta Cup is always fiery, but this year it feels especially pivotal. England left a lot of points out there against Wales, and will want to put in a more complete performance. However Scotland need to recover quickly from their Italian stumble. This is probably the perfect game for them, nothing raises Scottish rugby like the English!!! Expect passion, crunching tackles, and a raucous Murrayfield atmosphere.
Sunday, 15 February – Principality Stadium, Cardiff 16.00
Wales vs France
Wales face the daunting task of containing the reigning champions. France, buoyed by their statement win over Ireland, will look to unleash their flair in Cardiff. But the Principality crowd can turn any game into a cauldron, and Wales will need every ounce of belief to spark an upset.

The 2026 Six Nations kicks off on Thursday, 5th February with a blockbuster opener in Paris — France vs Ireland — and promises six weeks of high‑tempo rugby, fresh faces and title drama.
France v Ireland in Paris. I am told that England are favourites for the 6 Nations but we have to travel to Paris, as do Ireland... So I can see France as the favourites for the tournament. I am sure that Scotland will also have a big say in proceedings as well.
All six unions have named their squads, with a mix of experienced leaders and exciting newcomers and some big name casualties as well. It certanly looks like the countries are looking ahead to the World Cup next year and will be playing new players and trying out new plays.
Why this Tornament feels electric
Defending champions France, have a big target on their backs, as defending champions and some of the big names dropped, we will see an experimental team that every team will believe they can beat, yes including the Welsh !! so that they lift the trophy ( Maybe not the Welsh for this one!!)
Youth meeting experience: We will certainly be seeing some new players coming through and it will be the team that blends the rising stars with seasoned internationals that will lift the trophy — expect surprise selections and breakout performances.
Tactical variety: From France’s flair to England’s structured power and Ireland’s precision, each game should offer contrasting styles and tactical chess. We will also be talking about the strength of the benches, and which teams substitutes can make the biggest impact.
