Bridging the Silk Road through Art & Literature! 🌾🧵
The 2026 "China Nanjing Week" opened its doors at the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. Celebrating regional partnership and cultural dialogue, the event bridges Nanjing—a UNESCO City of Literature—with Central Asia.
Key moments from the opening:
🔹 Co-creation in Fiber: The exhibition featured Weaving Mountains and Rivers Together, a unique collaborative scroll by Nanjing Yunjin brocade master Chen Cheng and Kyrgyzstan's renowned "Seven Sisters" felt-making family.
🔹 VR Poetry: Guests experienced the "Nanjing via VR" showcase, tracing the historic paths of Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai.
🔹 Literary Connections: The unveiling of the "Reading Nanjing" book corner, celebrating translated literature and the winners of the 1st China-Central Asia Youth Three-Line Poetry Contest.
