In 2014, Chiang Mai was our first experience with Thailand. We came knowing nothing. We came only because there was a flight from Hong Kong.

As a result, during that first visit, we had a pretty good intro to Thailand (Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Phuket).

12 years and many more visits to Thailand later, we are happy to see the many ways that Thailand is getting better and better.

My considerations:

- you’re an active adult. You’re eating more than 500kcal a meal.

- you’re doing sport and/or mental work and/or physical work, and you want 100g or more of protein a day.

- you are not cooking at all. Except for the breakfast.

- you don’t rely on the cheapest everything.

After 6 month in Hua Hin (in 2025) and 6 months in Pattaya (in 2026), I prefer Pattaya. But you may also be more happy with Hua Hin. Is there anything specific that want to know about these two? Or something else Thailand-related? I’ve had experience with Thailand since 2014.

This happen easy and fast in Thailand. Also in Pattaya. Another recent example. A week ago, one morning my MacBook’s trackpad stopped working. 3 hours later, my laptop was already cleaned and checked by Apple certified technician and spare parts were ordered.
