Well....I'm against diluted coaching and maybe some of the people going on these courses should be taking more lessons before thinking about giving any.
However it's good to see coaching going towards more groups.
I firmly believe these people should be working under the guidance of an experienced coach..
Here , everybody's a coach but nobody can play and for the little coaching done by rookie coaches it devalues a true pros work.

As a coach I have preferred working with leisure players. Experiences with parents of pro players can often be "painful"..one england junior international told me it would be good for me if I played matches with his sulky ,spoilt son.. our "collaboration" stopped quickly.
Others trying to get me to "fix" draws etc etc.
It's probably different if you get a kid right from the beginning and can work with the parents , or not...
Having said that I think kids are far better off NOT focusing on one sport only and getting skills from different sports.
In my multisport program zero problems with parents. In squash only programs problems increase far more..why do.yiu think that might be ?

The answer is YES...
I was explaining to a pupil the other day that we have the same time to react to shots when we are doing some routines but I seem to have more time. That is because I process the information quicker than him. He is just in reaction mode...
Getting kids to process rather than just react...it doesn't have to be with a racket. It doesn't have to be doing hours of boast and drive.
👉 Have academies become too focused on athletic development and not focused enough on football intelligence?
Do you get a decent crowd involvement in squash matches anywhere except in England ?
Massive advantage...as far as I can see this involves absolutely no club participation...422 teams can enroll themselves...

Next step is matching coaches to clubs, making sure there is coaching available for coaches.
What in the French part of Geneva do I need from my local Federation ? Umm. Nothing.
What do I need from my club and town ?
Not a lot. I get a lot. Use of a bus, materials provided for events, free courts, publicity. It's far more than my local Federation is capable of providing.
What do I give to my local club , town ? Image and results. More women, more juniors, more members.
Those new coaches will often not have a clue how to get lessons. I know England squash has marketing material that can be downloaded.
