Shotokan Ryu Karate Gland-Vernier

Visite ce vendredi 21 août chez nos amis du KC Etterbeek en Belgique lors d'un cours donné par Sensei Honoré 7ème Dan JKA. Le cours était classique basé sur Kihon et travail à deux, nous avons revu ensuite les katas de base et Tekki Sandan. Cours très instructif avec de multiples points techniques à retravailler cette saison.

We visited our friends at KC Etterbeek in Belgium this Friday, 21 August, for a class led by Honoré Sensei, 7th Dan JKA. The class followed a traditional format, focusing on Kihon and work with partner; we then went over the basic katas and Tekki Sandan. It was a very informative class, highlighting numerous technical points to work on this season.

Chaque grand retour commence par une petite douleur musculaire 😉 A vos karategi's pour la reprise le 17 août à Gland et le 18 à Vernier !

Stage International JKA Italie à Inverigo (06-07 juin) avec Sensei Kobayashi et Sensei Naito.

Retour à Inverigo pour le deuxième stage international de JKA Italia avec en invité Sensei Kobayashi.
Les différentes sessions ont permis de retravailler l'arbitrage, le kihon ou le kumite, et plusieurs katas dont Empi, KankuDai et Jihon avec les dernières mises à jour de JKA HQ.
Fin de stage particulière pour les examens avec Ania qui a brillamment réussi son Shodan, Adam, Alessio et Denis ont été promus au stade supérieur.
L'accueil à Inverigo était comme toujours très chaleureux, le prochain rendez-vous en Italie sera en Octobre !

JKA Italy International Seminar in Inverigo (6–7 June) with Sensei Kobayashi and Sensei Naito.

Back to Inverigo for the second JKA Italia international seminar of the year, with Sensei Kobayashi as special guest.
The various sessions provided an opportunity to review refereeing, kihon and kumite, as well as several katas including Empi, Kanku Dai and Jihon, incorporating the latest updates from JKA HQ.

A special conclusion to the seminar for the grading exams, with Ania brilliantly passing her Shodan, whilst Adam, Alessio and Denis were promoted to the next level.
The welcome in Inverigo was, as always, very warm; the next event in Italy will be in October!

Stage International JKA Italie à Inverigo (21-22 mars) avec Sensei Hakizume et Sensei Naito.

Notre club s'est réuni pour le stage international de printemps en Italie sous la direction de Sensei Naito et avec invité Sensei Hakizume, champion du monde Kata 2024.
Nous avons pris beaucoup de plaisir lors de ce stage qui a été particulièrement équilibré en Kihon, une séance très intensive et technique en Kumité et la pratique des katas Heian Sandan, Godan, BasaiDai, Jitte et Jihon. La participation au prochain stage en juin sera plus dense encore avec l'inscription de nombreux élèves aux examens dan internationaux, ceux qui ont la chance d'aller en Belgique dans deux semaines y retrouveront Sensei Hakizume.

JKA Italy International Seminar in Inverigo (21–22 March) with
Sensei Hakizume and Sensei Naito.

Our club gathered for the spring international seminar in Italy under the guidance of Sensei Naito and with guest Sensei Hakizume, 2024 Kata World Champion.
We partucularly enjoyed this seminar, which was well-balanced in Kihon, including a very intensive and technical Kumite session and practice of the Heian Sandan, Godan, BasaiDai, Jitte and Jihon katas. Participation in the next seminar in June will be even more intense, with many students registering for the international dan exams; those who arefortunate enough to travel to Belgium in two weeks’ time will meet Sensei Hakizume there.
