As Tina Turner sang, Today was Simply the Best.

Windy, sunny, the quietest roads you can ever imagine, great company, amazing coffee stop with a sirop citron with sparkling water. Just perfect.

People say that this loop is better than riding Ventoux. What do you think?

Sunshine, 21 hairpins, Tour de France history … and no cows.

Day 3 of our French Alpes and Ventoux tour took us to the legendary Alpe d’Huez. Everyone rode superbly on a hot day. A bit disappointed the Sarenne was closed but it was fun to descend the 21 hairpins back down to Bourg d’Oisans.

What do you think of the climb to ‘the Alpe’? Ever watched the Tour here?

Tunnels, hairpins, steeps … and yes more cows.

Day 2 of our French Alps and Ventoux tour took us up the Col de la Ramaz. Better weather for this lovely climb - with a stinging middle section punching above 11%💀

Ever ridden up here? I first became aware of it when Armstrong rode his comeback tour, as it was where his tour unraveled.

It makes a great loop out from Samoëns with incredible views of Mont Blanc.

First big day of the French Alpes and Ventoux tour.

What an epic day. Rain, mist, fog … cows! 🐄

Ever been up the Col de Joux Plane in bad weather?

Normally the problem is the heat. Today it was COLD. Our riders did brilliantly - going on to ride up the Joux Verte from Morzine.

Tomorrow is the Col de la Ramaz. Let’s hope for better weather.

On the final day of our Women’s Ventoux Discovery tour we got up at 0500 to climb Mont Ventoux from Malaucene.

Do you think it was worth it?

Day 4 of our Women’sMont Ventoux Discovery Tour. Heading around the base of the mountain. Route passes through the wonderful Gorges de Toulourenc before heading to Sault and then back down the Gorges de la Nesque.

Have you ever ridden here? Sometimes the roads around the mountain are better than the mountain itself!

One of the best rides I’ve had a in a long time this morning. Out before breakfast on our Women’s Ventoux Discovery Tour. No famous climbs, just a brilliant loop from Malaucene on deserted roads with views of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding countryside. Thanks

Did you get out on the bike this morning?

Yesterday was special for two reasons:

1) it was my birthday

2) this season’s new kit arrived from

Im really happy with it. A few tweaks from last year and the main difference being black shorts in place of last year’s green.

What do you think?

How can I get hold of some? I hear you scream at your phone.

Well you either come on one of our trips or drop me a message either here or on email and I’ll send some out to you.

We were recently on a trip in Mallorca and for one reason and another found ourselves on the bike path along the sea front. Not the optimum Mallorca cycling experience!

Is there a good time to ride this path? Or should it always be avoided? Let me know.

Simply beautiful ride today. Out to Nyon for coffee at .ch with Jim and Claudia. Then further to Aubonne before turning for home along the lake road. Lovely to be back on the bike after a couple of weeks in California snowboarding.

Did you get out there today?

If so, I hope you didn't bonk as badly as I did in the last hour or so. More food please ...
