Sometimes the practice gives us exactly what we needed.
This evening, we did kriyas for conquering imagined disabilities and becoming like angels—awakening the resilience and inner radiance. We moved, breathed, laughed, meditated… and finished with a playful dance that had everyone leaving with brighter faces than when they arrived.
One of the unexpected delights of this July series has been practicing alongside Queen, who’s visiting from Toronto to perform in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival with the Winnipeg Underground Opera. Her production, Sweat, is an a ca****la opera that shines a light on sweatshop labour. Hearing her speak about the project tonight convinced me—this is a fringe show I’ll be seeing.
If you’ve been wondering whether kundalini yoga is for you, consider this your invitation.
Join me, Mariah, every Tuesday in July from 5:15–6:15 PM at Yoga Public (280 Fort Street, downtown Winnipeg).
Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the very first time or you’ve practiced for years, you’ll find a welcoming space to move, breathe, recharge, and reconnect.
Yoga Public makes it easy to come straight from work or head out afterward with complimentary parking, showers, lockers, yoga mats, and beautiful studios designed for practice.
Register through the Yoga Public website or at the front desk.
If you’re not a member, you’re welcome to drop in for my special community rate of $10–20, payable directly to me.
And if this would be your very first class with me, send me a private message. I’d be delighted to offer you a complimentary pass so you can experience Kundalini Yoga for yourself.
I hope to welcome you to the circle next Tuesday. 🤍
