Final: 3–1 Regina Rebels Red

Game 2 was a battle from puck drop.

🔥 Weyburn struck first halfway through the 1st period!
#9 Nevaeh Weichel buried one from #11 Laker Lindsey and #10 Katie Doud to get the girls rolling and set the tone early.

Regina answered back early in the 2nd with an unassisted goal from #10 Hadley Oliver, evening things up and shifting momentum.

The Rebels then pulled ahead with a slick unassisted goal from #8 Monroe Junior — a gorgeous deke that gave Weyburn’s #30 Henlee Benson no chance. The play resulted in an injury scare for our tendy, but after a quick break, a stretch, and basically rubbing some dirt on it 💪, Henlee stayed in and continued battling between the pipes like the warrior she is.

Late in the 3rd, #8 pulled the same move again — same deke, same result — securing the insurance goal Regina needed.

Not the outcome we wanted, but the compete level, grit, and heart were ALL there.

🚨 PLAYOFF GAME ONE RECAP 🚨

Midway through the 1st period the CCW Gold Wings opened the floodgates with some tic-tac-toe magic ✨

#7 Denver Marshall rips one on net 🚀
Rebound kicks to #6 Josie Cugnet
And #4 Tenley Clark seals the deal, burying it for the first of the night! 💥

Only minutes later… they strike again.

#14 Alexis Schaeffer wins the draw clean in Regina’s end, sends it back to #2 Dilyn Clark at the point. Dilyn threads a BEAUT through traffic and Alexis finishes it off with a silky tuck. 🎯

But wait… Tenley wasn’t done.

#10 Katie Doud throws a puck on net creating an ugly rebound and #4 Tenley Clark pounces, scooping it up and snapping home her second of the game with just a handful of minutes left in the 1st. 🥵

Regina finally answers late in the period with a bomb from the point by #6 Bella Heimbecker that found top cheese through traffic. Not much any goalie can do when it’s labeled like that. 🎯

And then… hats started flying. 🎩

The CCW Gold Wings’ 4th goal belongs to #4 Tenley Clark for the BIG OL’ HATTY!

#14 Alexis Schaeffer with the sauce to #2 Dilyn Clark at the blue line. Low shot through traffic and Tenley with the prettiest little tip-in you’ve ever seen. That’s playoff hockey, baby.

From start to finish, the CCW Gold Wings owned this one.

Our #30 held her own with a crisp glove and quick pads. Henlee Benson was a wall last night!

Relentless forecheck.

Total collapse in the D-zone when Regina gained possession.
