Last weekend was an interesting one. Corbin and Megan started in the rear Megan fought her way to a second place finish and Corbin pulled in a 4th place finish. The thunder car brought up the rear in all events as the multiple multiple serious over heating events have taken their toll on the rings and the motor is super tired. The late model was again ultra loose as soon as the throttle was touched. That has now been solved and we are super looking forward to the 29th to see what that equates to in actual race times.

Looks like that baby hit 88mph..... Surprisingly enough we only went thru one tire on the purple people eater. The brakes on all corners were red hot, exhaust was glowing from the engine to the end of the tubes, engine was smoking hot and the transmission fell out of the ole gal in the final 5 laps. All in all it was a fun race. Thank-you to everyone who helped make it possible. 🏁💗 RACING FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES — SEPTEMBER 5TH! 💗🏁
I’m so excited to finally share something that means a lot more to me than just another night at the racetrack.
On September 5th for Back to School Night at EIR, Candice Pahl Racing will be collecting donations in support of YESS — Youth Empowerment & Support Services.
YESS supports youth and young adults ages 15-21 who are going through difficult circumstances by helping connect them with basic needs, safe and supportive spaces, resources, and people they can turn to when they need it most.
I chose YESS for a very personal reason. ❤️
When I was 13, I was a youth struggling with depression after losing my sister and a very special friend 10 months apart. Even now as an adult, depression, anxiety and PTSD are still things I deal with. I was and am incredibly fortunate to have family support, counselling, and resources available to me during some of the hardest times in my life.
But I also know that not every youth or young adult has that same support system or access to those resources.
After everything the past year has brought into my own life, I knew I wanted to do something special for Back to School Night this year — something that could make even a small difference for young people who may be going through their own battles. 💗
So on September 5th, we’re asking everyone to help us PACK THE #3! 🏁
We’ll be collecting:
🎒 School supplies
🧴 Hygiene products
🧤 Cold-weather essentials
💵 Monetary donations(through e-transfer ONLY, I will post more info on this)
And because we want to make it a little fun too… everyone who contributes will be entered for a chance to win our raffle prizes! 🎟️ 🥳
We’ll have a MAIN PRIZE along with a second prize up for grabs, and I’ll be sharing more details about those prizes as we get closer to race day. 👀
Whether you bring one item, fill a backpack, or make a monetary donation, every contribution helps.
Sometimes something that seems small to us can mean everything to someone who needs it.
