Functional in my words basically means to prepare for anything and especially your sport if you participate in one. In addition, functional can be defined as moving efficiently, correctly and in a healthy manner that will promote progression and adaptation, but will reduce the risk for injury and imbalances in the body. Finally, functional fitness should be applied to everyday life whether it be to run a 5k, deadlift 300kg or simply walk 20-30 day as part of your daily exercise.
