Winter Dump 🥶
This weather has me feeling a ways, but I’ve been able to do so much in the last few weeks that has kept my heart and souls super warm and fuzzy!
So grateful to everyone who has braved the winter weather to come to class! The love and support has been beautiful - and it really helps to keep me going through tough times when I’m out here overthinking too much!
I hope you’re all gearing up for an amazing weekend.

✨ swipe ➡️ for 6 Affirmations for a recovering perfectionist ✨
Look, no one said you can’t be excellent - but to expect yourself to be perfect? Shoot - it’s exhausting, but somehow even though I know this to be true, my brain enjoys to overthink, and be highly critical when I am anything less that 💯 all the time.
It’s taken a lot of soul searching and therapy 🧠 to get to a place where slowly but surely I am able to give myself grace and actually celebrate wins without seeing endless areas of improvement.
There’s nothing wrong with holding yourself to a high standard, but when the fear of failure holds you back from trying new things, making mistakes and ruminating about that time you said that thing and it wasn’t funny … oooouu chile 😮💨 - it can make the space between your ears noisy and unpleasant
So I just wanted to share a few of the affirmations I use when my brain is just braining. Whether I’m feeling overwhelmed and stagnant during my workouts, or if I’m stuck in a thought loop 🔁 , these affirmations help bring me back to the present moment.
I hope they can help you too! Shoutout to the bookie who talks about perfectionism in her recent post.
Would you consider yourself a perfectionist?

Hey friends! So they say carousels are the way to go on the instagrams… so here’s a new format! Let me know what you think! 🤔
It’s the first Monday of 2026, and you’re probably seeing lots of goal setting and intention setting for the new year - but over the last few years I’ve been really trying to keep things simple - mostly because I’m usually overstimulated and prone to burning out within a couple months of trying to achieve my goals.
Additionally, approaching 35 this year, I’ve noticed so many changes in my body. I discovered I have hypothyroidism last year - and that really changed the way I had to think about exercise and nutrition. My body and metabolism has slowed down, but that doesn’t mean I have to go even harder to overcompensate - tried that… it doesn’t work y’all.
So this year I’m just focusing on reframing the things I already know and making small tweaks to the systems that I know work for myself and my body, while letting go of the things that no longer serve me!
I also love journaling and artsy things so wanted to combine both in this carousel!
Any of these reframes resonate with you? Let me know!
Lots of Love

I can tell a Caribbean waistline from a mile away! Drop your flag below! 🇹🇹 🇬🇾 🇬🇩 🇯🇲 🇭🇹 🇩🇲 🇧🇧
Had to jump on this trend and try something new with a skit.
As Alison Hinds said - we are born with it! But of course like any skill practice and stamina can take the wine to a next level.
Hope you’re getting ready to buss a wine over the holidays!
Much Love,

✨ Wineing is Cultural ✨
As a soca baby myself I think I could wine at about the same time I could walk. It’s something I grew up seeing family members do at parties and functions - wineing up on each other until they were covered in sweat.
As soca, dancehall and Caribbean music has become more mainstream - so has the wine. I even see those hips gyrating in genres like K-pop, I mean there is even a carnival in Japan and I love to see the culture spread far and wide - but of course it’s also important to always pay homage to where the roots of these movements. As someone who uses soca music and Caribbean culture to make my living, it’s extremely important to educate as well as celebrate and revel in this beautiful culture.
I hope you enjoyed this lil’ montage of all the waist pelting I’ve been so privileged to do this year! I hope to continue to wine my waist for as LONG as I can.
So to my soca babies, and even those who are new to the genre - when you are bussing a wine in a class, in a party, a fete, or even in the mirror in your pajamas I hope you feel the power and the spirit of the movement.
Wine without shame.
Wine to reclaim.
Wine for resistance.
Wine for resilience.
& wine to celebrate YOU and how far you have come
With Love,
Leesh
