Coach Marc: “Kirill has been at Tidal for about two years now and if you’ve trained at noon, you’ve probably seen him working hard.  As an entrepreneur, his schedule is packed, but he remains consistent with his training. He shows up, gets after it and keeps stacking days.

What I’ve always respected about Kirill is his curiosity. He’s the kind of athlete who wants to understand the process. He’s always asking questions, looking for ways to improve and searching for that extra edge. That mindset is a big reason why he’s continued to progress year after year.

What’s been cool to watch is how his passion for CrossFit has evolved into a passion for endurance training. Over the last year, we’ve logged many running miles and raced together, which has given me the chance to know him beyond the gym. Anyone can be motivated when things are going well. You learn who someone really is when the miles get long, the weather sucks, and you’re deep in the pain cave. Kirill checks those boxes. No drama. No excuses.  Just a beast.

His dedication to fitness and the process is what stands out most about him. His willingness to embrace discomfort when most people look for an exit. Those are qualities that carry over into every part of life and business.

If you’re on the road this week, throw a jump rope in your bag.

It’s one of the easiest ways to keep your conditioning up without needing a full gym. Ten to fifteen minutes is enough to break a sweat and keep the routine going.

Coach Katie: “Hazen is our Member of the Month, and it’s easy to see why. A former high-level curler, he brings the mindset of a seasoned athlete into every workout—determined, and always ready to take on a new challenge. Whether it’s gymnastics or something completely outside his comfort zone, Hazen leans in with focus and grit.

He’s quickly become a cornerstone of our community, showing up with positivity and work ethic that lifts everyone around him. This year, he took on his first-ever Open and delivered some seriously impressive scores. Most recently, his hard work (and a little help from Dan’s gymnastics program) paid off in a big way—he hit his first ring muscle-up, then went on to do four more like it was just another day at the gym.

Beyond the achievements, Hazen is simply a great human—supportive, humble, and an absolute pleasure to have in the gym. We’re lucky to have him.”
