Image Description: [ID1: On a light purple background, a dark blue oval in the top left corner contains white text reading "ODLAN" with a rainbow paperclip logo underneath. Large dark blue bold text reads, "How to Remove AI from Your Digital Platforms. Webinar". Below a horizontal line, text reads, "This PWYC webinar with ODLAN will walkthrough how to remove AI features from these platforms used for digital work: Slack, Zoom, Adobe PDF Reader". Next to a calendar icon, text reads, "July 16, 2026 | 12:30 - 1:00 PM". Next to a location pin icon, text reads, "Zoom". In the bottom right, there is an illustration of a Black person with dark curly hair and gold hoop earrings, wearing a blue shirt, sitting at a grey laptop decorated with a rainbow, a smiley face sticker, and a "Protect Trans Kids" sticker. Happy Disability Pride Month!

July is a time to both celebrate disabled communities as well acknowledge the continuously disabling conditions of our world.

We know that our communities are better with disabled folks in them. This month, take some time to talk to the disabled folks in your life and to educate yourself on the realities of living with disabilities in today's world.

[ID1: On a light blue background, there is a brown, blue, green, white, yellow, and red disability flag in the corner. Large blue text reads, “Disability Pride Month 2026. “The World Works Better With Us.”. There in an image of a person in a wheelchair with a phone and pride flag in the bottom right. Below, text reads, “Swipe to learn more about Disability Pride Month”. ID2: With the disability flag colours in the background, a large blue box had light text that reads, “What Is Disability Pride Month? Disability Pride Month is an annual observance in July that: celebrates disability identity and community recognizes disability culture and leadership marks the Americans with Disabilities Act anniversary and the ongoing work to make civil rights real in daily life”. ID3: On the same background, text reads, “Why do we need to celebrate Disability Pride Month? As of 2022, 27% of Canadians aged 15+ have at least one disability, yet ableism is often a forgotten “ism”. Disabilities aren’t always obvious so we sometimes forget people may be struggling. In Canada, folks with disabilities are more likely to live in poverty but also have expensive costs related to their disability. We know that many folks within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities also identify as having disability and this can make it harder to access supports.”.]

Today, we will not be celebrating a country that was founded on the oppression and genocide of Indigenous peoples. Instead, we will be reflecting on how we can better our Indigenous solidarity efforts.

We encourage you to do the same.

[ID: On a light blue background, dark blue text reads, "Today is a day for reflection, not celebration. Today, we will not be celebrating a country that was founded on the oppression and genocide of Indigenous peoples. We will not celebrate a country that continues to harm First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities through the child welfare system, forced sterilization, incarceration, MMIWG2S, and other forms of structural violence. Instead, we will be reflecting on how we can better our Indigenous solidarity efforts. We encourage you to do the same.". In the bottom right corner there is a round Canadian flag with a large black X across it.]

Today, we honor National Indigenous Peoples Day by celebrating the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous communities.

We are also reminded that we are settlers on this land. We encourage all settlers to visit native-land.ca and learn more about the land on which they reside and the treaties that govern it.

As we continue to celebrate Pride month, we also recognize that Two-Spirit, q***r, and trans Indigenous people have always existed and continue to lead resistance and renewal.
