Not every girl discovers hockey by the time they're six.

For those who start later, getting equipped can be a significant barrier.

Tween and teen girls often need full-sized gear, much of it designed specifically for women. Before they even step onto the ice, many families are faced with a major investment.

That's why we're so grateful to BAUER Hockey for helping remove that barrier by providing equipment for every player in the Tween Girls' Hockey League.

Registration for the 2026-27 season is now open.

Such a fun way to celebrate a successful TGHL season 💙💛

Our girls were Blue Line Buddies at the Toronto game last night, proudly repping the TGHL on the ice and bringing the energy through the high five tunnel. What a great game and a really fun night of cheering with our families!

Youth sport doesn’t have an interest problem. It has an access problem.

At the Change the Game report launch at , the research echoed what we see every week at the Tween Girls’ Hockey League:
• Girls want to play
• Belonging keeps them there
• Sport needs to fit real life

This season, when we removed barriers like equipment, participation jumped 56%. Access changes outcomes.

Huge kudos to the team for such an engaging, interactive event that brought this research to life, exactly how sport should feel. 💜🏒

A huge thank you to Councillor James Pasternak for joining us at Amesbury and spending time with our girls. We were honoured to receive this certificate from the City of Toronto recognizing the growth and impact of the Tween Girls Hockey League.

We appreciate Councillor Pasternak’s ongoing support, from championing the motion to review the ice allocation policy to celebrating our program’s progress. His leadership helps ensure access to ice reflects the needs of all Toronto residents and creates space for more people to find their place in sport.
