A NEW CAPE BRETON PRO RODEO TRADITION BEGINS🤠

Join us Friday at 7 PM at the Cape Breton Exhibition on the Cape Breton Pro Rodeo Stage as we proudly host our inaugural White Hat Ceremony.

This special presentation will recognize an individual who has made a meaningful and lasting contribution to Cape Breton, with particular recognition of those whose leadership or service has strengthened agriculture, farming, rural communities, food production, community development, volunteerism, heritage and culture across our island.

Featuring a Genuine Smithbuilt White Cowboy Hat finished with a Nova Scotia tartan ribbon, the White Hat represents a celebration of the people, traditions and community spirit that make Cape Breton what it is.

Be there as we present the very first Cape Breton Pro Rodeo White Hat and begin what we hope will become a meaningful annual tradition.

The Cape Breton Pro Rodeo is incredibly proud to announce the Men of the Deeps as Grand Marshals of our inaugural event.

For 60 years, the Men of the Deeps have represented the strength, resilience, fellowship and pride of Cape Breton Island.

They are more than an iconic Cape Breton institution. They are the voices of generations of miners, families and communities whose hard work, courage and determination helped shape our Island.

Their legacy is built on values that are at the heart of Cape Breton — community, tradition, perseverance and looking out for one another.

Those same values are also deeply rooted in rodeo culture, making the Men of the Deeps a fitting and meaningful choice to help lead this historic first Cape Breton Pro Rodeo.

As we celebrate the beginning of a new Cape Breton tradition, we are honoured to recognize a group that has spent six decades preserving our history, sharing our stories and proudly representing our Island at home and around the world.
