Elphinstone Logging Focus

Looking for an activity this weekend, then consider joining ELF's Ross Muirhead and the Elphinstone Hikers group this Saturday as we hike the Gough-Clack Crossover Trail.

Its an 3.5 hr semi-challenging route that ELF created a few years ago with the objective of opening up the top section of the Elphinstone Park expansion area to hikers.

We meet at 10am Saturday (the 17th) along the B & K Rd (in Roberts Creek) at the big trail map, then will car-pool to the trailhead. Bring water + power snacks.

The first part is a long gradual climb as we follow Clack Creek up, then the crossover section takes us west all the way to Gough Creek, then downhill through a beautiful forest following this creek.

We will discuss the campaign to expand the Elphinstone Forest, the ecology of the area and is a nice opportunity to meet new folks.
