As we come to a close on another Souris Breakfast Club season, with only two (2) sessions remaining on Wednesday, February 11 and February 18, we NEED to take a moment to thank our volunteers once again.

As is often the case in small communities, it’s the same incredible group of families who continue to give their time week after week. Not once have I heard a complaint — instead, they show up early, pitch in, and do it all for the kids every single Wednesday morning. One day, the kids will truly understand just how much time and care you all put into this program.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Daydra, Chef Tristan, and Nichole. Your dedication, energy, and commitment to Breakfast Club do not go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated. You are the BEST! 🥞🏒

🥞🏒 This is what community looks like. 🏒🥞

This post is for the families who support Breakfast Club in ways that don’t always get seen or recognized — and who never ask for credit.

To those who give their time at the rink, open doors early in the morning, help supervise, or step in wherever needed. To those who donate money or groceries, put funds directly toward Breakfast Club at local stores, or help make sure breakfast is ready when the kids come off the ice. To those who simply say, “How can I help?” and then quietly do it.

Because of you, this is what Wednesday mornings look like — kids skating, learning, laughing, and then heading upstairs for a hot breakfast in a positive environment. The impact of your generosity goes far beyond the ice or the meal. It builds belonging, routine, and care for one another.

Please know that even when it’s anonymous, it is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping make Breakfast Club what it is! ❤️

The Souris Breakfast Club would like to send a huge thank you to Cando Rail & Terminals for their continued and generous support over the years. Because of Cando, we truly can do this program — providing a hot, nutritious breakfast for our kids after each on-ice skill and development session from October through February.

Community partners like Cando make a real difference. Their support helps ensure our youth start their day active, fueled, and supported in a positive environment — and that impact is felt every single Wednesday morning.

We’re incredibly grateful for Cando’s commitment to kids, sport, and community, and we look forward to many more years of working together.

The Souris Breakfast Club would like to once again thank LT’s Corner Store for their continued generosity through the donation of time, money, and incredible organization of the breakfast program — year after year.

Simply put, Breakfast Club would not be what it is without partners like LT’s. Their support allows us to provide a hot, nutritious breakfast for our kids after every on-ice skill and development session, and they do it with care, consistency, and pride in our community.

Loretta and the staff at LT’s truly go above and beyond, and that effort never goes unnoticed in our rural community. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and proud to have LT’s Corner Store as a cornerstone of the Souris Breakfast Club.

We are incredibly grateful for the Foundation’s annual (and growing!) donation to the Souris Breakfast Club — a gift that has helped ensure every single child receives a hot breakfast after each skate since the very beginning of this program. ❤️

Breakfast Club simply would not be what it is today without the dedication and generosity of the Foundation’s volunteers. We get to see the impact of their support firsthand every Wednesday morning, and we can confidently say their motto — “A Gift That Keeps Giving Back to the Community” — could not be more true.
