The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo was an amazing spot to visit. So many exhibits to wander. And a whole display from King Tutankhamen’s tomb was fascinating. Definitely a “must do” in Cairo.

A stunning visit to Abu Simbel temple complex from Aswan in Egypt. Definitely a highlight of our Viking Nile River cruise.
The temples were massive and intricate. Made so much more impressive when we knew the whole complex was moved and re-assembled into a cliff face when the Aswan Dam was created.

All ready for patio time at home on the Sunshine Coast Tourism, Canada. A lovely view with Vancouver Island in the distance. And several cruise ships a day passing by on their way to Alaska!

We were so glad we finally made it to Cairo on this trip with The Giza Pyramids and Sphinx were amazing to see up close.
