The Maple Unit Unit #287 remains as the only female veteran's unit in Canada under the Dominion Command of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Association. Its first meeting was held on 21 October 1946 and the Unit received its Charter in an impressive ceremony in Saskatoon on 10 April 1947.
