Saskatoon, July 25, 2026 — The Saskatchewan Cricket League Division C Final showcased two exceptional batting performances that defined the championship match. Yadwinder Singh and Sourav Sharma emerged as the twin pillars of PA Phantoms’ innings, each scoring a commanding half‑century to lead their team to a decisive 55‑run victory over Dynasty.

Their combined brilliance not only secured the Division C title but also propelled PA Phantoms into Division B for the 2027 season, marking a historic leap for the club.

Singh’s Unbeaten 74 — A Masterclass in Control and Power

Opening the innings with confidence, Yadwinder Singh delivered one of the finest knocks of the season.
His 74 not out off 39 balls included 5 fours and 5 sixes, blending timing, placement, and raw hitting power. Singh anchored the innings from start to finish, accelerating precisely when needed and punishing every loose delivery.

His boundary streak in the middle overs — including a 22‑run burst in the 13th over — shifted the momentum permanently in Phantoms’ favor.

Singh’s performance earned him recognition as the Best Batter, Best Bowler, and Most Valuable Player of the final, completing a rare all‑round sweep.

Sharma’s 56 — The Perfect Partner in a Championship Stand
At the other end, Sourav Sharma played a vital supporting role, crafting a fluent 56 off 38 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Sharma’s early aggression in the Powerplay set the tone, striking consecutive boundaries in the opening over and ensuring the Phantoms never lost momentum.

His partnership with Singh formed the backbone of the innings, frustrating Dynasty’s bowlers and building a platform that allowed PA Phantoms to reach 183/2 in 20 overs — a total that proved unassailable.

The final drew players, families, and community leaders, highlighting the growing strength and unity of Saskatoon’s cricket community.

Batting first, Rising Stars were restricted to 100 all out in 17 overs, with Kirat Sandhu producing a determined 50 off 51 balls to keep his team in contention. Strike Force’s bowlers dominated early, led by Chintan Patel (3/20) and Shaurya Patel (3/21), who applied relentless pressure and prevented Rising Stars from building partnerships.

In reply, Strike Force executed a composed chase, finishing at 101/6 in 18.2 overs. Key contributions from Faizal Khan (24 off 25) and Priyen Patel (23 off 22) guided the team through crucial phases, securing the Division B championship.

We are now, the 3rd best province in Canada out of 10. Even though we don’t have Turf pitches, we won against the provinces that already have them.
