There has been a few asks about a U5 program with regards to registration. I am not making any promises, but if you or someone you know is interested in a U5 program please email Russell Minor Hockey at [email protected] with how many kids you would be interested in registering.

If you have already registered for U7, but feel U5 would be a better fit please send RMH an email as well.

The Board will be meeting Sept 8th and it would be good to have an idea of numbers for a U5 program so we can make a more informed decision.

Reminder that player reg will end Aug 22nd. If you are from Tri-Valley and looking to register with RMH please send an email to Russell Minor hockey [email protected] with the following information:

Child’s Name
DOB
Age Division your registering
Parents Name
Contact number
Home address (this needs to be your physical address and not a PO Box)

I will need to initiate transfers for all players and these will be permanent transfers. I will need to verify that Russell is your closest MHA to be eligible to register. Once Hockey MB approves the transfer RMH will be your home association and you can register next year as per the normal registration.

If you are at the Multiplex this week, RMHA has a thank you gift for all your volunteer time from last season. Just find Will as he’ll be watching or walking around, and he will have it for you. He’ll be there at about 10:00am each day. Feel free to text him if you can’t find him.

RMHA will be selling the old jerseys that we replaced this past year tomorrow Tuesday, August 11 beginning at 10:00am - $25 per set of jerseys (red & white). Please bring exact cash.

We will be selling the jerseys from the U7, U9, U11, and U13 teams. We will be keeping the U15 & U18 jerseys to use during the season for parents when attending events such as Provincials and wind-ups.

We also have two tables set up as you come up the stairs filled with the oldest Rams jerseys, socks, etc. Any of these items are free to take (the storage bins are not for the taking).

RMHA will have the Sparx skate sharper going this week during the Cody McLeod Hockey Camp. We use a 5/8” wheel.

Cost will be $5 per skate for everyone. If no one is by the skate sharpening room, there will be a paper with names & numbers you can call to come help you out.

For those of you from Tri-Valley that are trying to register I have put in an email to Hockey MB inquiring about the status of Tri-Valley with Hockey MB and how to register. Please sit tight and when I have a response I will post an update here.

Parkland Minor Hockey- U13 Female Team Interest Survey

Parkland Minor Hockey is exploring the possibility of icing a U13 Female team within our region, and is looking to gauge interest from players and families.

We are currently working with Hockey Manitoba to determine the team structure. At this time, we are considering two potential models:
- A full-time regional team, similar to the U13AA co-ed program
- A Regional Development Program model, where players continue to play with their local minor hockey associations while participating in additional regional practices and tournaments
