A reminder to soak it all up. โฝ๏ธโ๏ธ
Events like the World Cup have a funny way of feeling like theyโll last forever. ๐
Then before you know it, theyโre over. โณ
This is especially true here in Canada. ๐จ๐ฆ
For the first time ever, the World Cup is happening on home soil. ๐๏ธ
Whether that means meeting up with friends, spending time with family, getting some extra sunshine, or joining fellow Canadians at a local park, restaurant, or pub, make sure you enjoy it while you can. ๐๐ฝ
One of my favourite things about the World Cup is the way it brings people together. ๐
Yes, different nations are competing against one another. โฝ๏ธ
But at the same time, people from all walks of life are gathering around a shared experience. ๐ค
Conversations start. ๐ฌ
Communities come together. ๐๏ธ
Memories get made. ๐ธ
And those moments often end up being more meaningful than the score itself. ๐ฏ
So cheer for your team. ๐ฃ
Enjoy the matches. โฝ๏ธ
Embrace the atmosphere. ๐
And donโt forget to soak it all up while itโs here. ๐ฑ
These moments tend to pass a lot quicker than we think. โณ

Enjoy the World Cup games, but donโt forget to prioritize sleep! โฝ๏ธ๐ด
Sleep is one of the first things to get bumped down the priority list when life gets busy. ๐
A late game here. ๐บ
One more episode there. ๐ฟ
A few extra minutes scrolling before bed. ๐ฑ
Every now and then, thatโs completely fine. ๐๐ฝ
But your body tends to like consistency. ๐
And when sleep starts getting replaced on a regular basis, you may notice the effects showing up elsewhere. ๐
Your energy. โก
Your focus. ๐ง
Your mood. ๐
Your workouts. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Even your ability to enjoy the things youโre staying up for in the first place. ๐ค
So by all means, enjoy the games. โฝ๏ธ
Enjoy the excitement. ๐
Enjoy the moments that bring people together. ๐๐ฝ
Just remember that a good nightโs sleep is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. ๐ฏ
Otherwiseโฆ this could be you. ๐
Which of these do you tend to prioritize more: objective or subjective? ๐ค
If the objective is your priority, a run might simply mean hopping on the treadmill, burning the desired calories, and calling it a day. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Mission accomplished. โ
But if the subjective experience is your priority, maybe that same run happens outdoors with a friend. ๐ณ
Maybe you choose a scenic route, a lively neighbourhood, or a trail that helps clear your mind. ๐
The calories burned may be the same, but the experience can feel completely different. ๐ญ
Neither approach is inherently better than the other. โ๏ธ
The important thing is recognizing which one youโre prioritizing and why. ๐ง
Many of us lean too heavily in one direction without realizing it. ๐
Sometimes we become so focused on efficiency and results that we forget to enjoy the process. ๐
Other times we focus so much on enjoyment that we neglect the outcomes weโre hoping to achieve. ๐ฏ
Finding the right balance is often where fulfilment lives. ๐ฑ
Choose whichever approach makes sense for you. ๐๐ฝ
Just understand that different priorities tend to produce different results. ๐
And regardless of which path you choose, make sure youโre taking care of yourself. ๐ฏ
Nobody can do that for you. ๐๐ฝ
If your issue isnโt knowing what to do, but actually finding the time to do it, hereโs a suggestion. ๐ก
Try attaching a couple of minutes of the habit youโre trying to build onto something you already do consistently. ๐
Want to stretch more? Do it after brushing your teeth. ๐ชฅ
Want to work on your mobility? Do it while your coffee is brewing. โ
Want to do your rehab exercises? Do them before you sit down to watch TV. ๐บ
The less decisions you have to make, the easier it becomes to stay consistent. ๐ง
โLater this eveningโ and โsometime tomorrowโ sound productive, but theyโre often just delays in disguise. โณ
An objective time is usually better than an arbitrary one. ๐
Help yourself help yourself by creating systems that make success easier. ๐
Accountability matters. ๐ค๐ฝ
Not all, but many people with lingering symptoms spend more time explaining why they canโt do something than figuring out how they can. โ๏ธ
The reality is that small actions performed consistently tend to beat good intentions every single time. ๐
Take care of yourself, no one can do that for you. ๐ฏ

One of my favourite perspectives from the Dalai Lama is when he talks about how people sacrifice their health to make money, then later spend that money trying to regain their health. ๐ฐ๐ซ
He mentions how people become so anxious about the future that they stop truly living in the present. โณ
That idea always sticks with me because so many of us spend our days rushing from one responsibility to the next, telling ourselves weโll slow down โeventually.โ ๐โโ๏ธ
Eventually when work calms down. ๐
Eventually when finances improve. ๐ฐ
Eventually when stress is lower. ๐ง๏ธ
Eventually when life feels more organized. ๐
But life is happening right now, not someday in the future. ๐
Sometimes truly living isnโt about luxury, status, or constant achievement. ๐ง
Sometimes itโs the simple things that we overlook every single day. ๐ฟ
Itโs sitting down and actually enjoying a meal instead of eating while distracted. ๐ฒ
Itโs going for a walk and noticing the fresh air, the trees, the sunlight, and the quiet around you. ๐ถ๐ฒ
Itโs spending uninterrupted time with family or friends without staring at a screen every few minutes. ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ๐ฑ
Itโs resting without guilt. ๐
Itโs listening to your body before burnout forces you to stop. ๐
Itโs taking care of your hands, your back, your joints, your sleep, and your mind before problems begin. ๐ช
A lot of people are constantly preparing for life without realizing theyโre already in it. โ ๏ธ
We postpone happiness, peace, health, and presence while chasing goals that never fully end. ๐ฏ
And while ambition and hard work are important, thereโs also value in slowing down enough to appreciate what already exists around us. ๐
Your health, your mobility, your energy, your loved ones, your ability to move, think clearly, and experience life are things that can easily be taken for granted until they change. โค๏ธ
Please take care of yourself, nobody else can do that for you. ๐ค
Your hands do a lot more for you than you probably give them credit for. โ๐ฝ
From texting and typing to carrying groceries and lifting weights, theyโre working all day long. ๐ฑ
Even things like swinging a hammer or opening jars quietly add up over time. ๐ง
And yet, we rarely take a moment to give them any attention back. ๐ค
Try this simple technique and notice how it feels in your hands. โจ
It only takes 30 seconds, but it can go a long way in keeping them feeling good and moving well. โฑ๏ธ
If you want your hands to keep showing up for you without issues, it makes sense to show a little care in return. ๐ค๐ฝ
Small habits like this can make a real difference over time. ๐ฑ
Share this with someone who could benefit from it. ๐ฒ
High five! ๐๐ฝ
How many luxuries are you taking for granted? ๐ค
There are so many things we do every day that previous generations simply didnโt have access to. ๐
Driving at high speeds with ease. ๐
Seeing photos and videos from thousands of kilometres away instantly. ๐ฑ
Having a body that lets you walk, run, climb, and explore without restriction. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
All of this starts to feel โnormalโ when you experience it every day. ๐ง
But normal doesnโt mean itโs not valuable. ๐ก
Recognizing that value naturally shifts you into a more grateful mindset. ๐ฑ
And gratitude changes how you move through your day. ๐
Itโs easy these days to slip into negativity, especially with too much screen time or too much time stuck in your own thoughts. ๐ต
But zooming out and appreciating what you actually have can reset everything. ๐
A healthier perspective leads to a healthier mind. ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Take a moment to recognize your luxuries more often, and I think life gets better for everyone because of it. ๐ฏ
