The weather may not have cooperated, but that didn’t stop these two! 🌧️ Both boys handled the rainy conditions and came away with race wins in their respective classes!

🥇 Nixon — P1 Junior 1
🥇 Mateo — P1 Junior 2

Rain racing is never easy. The track changes, grip is limited, and every lap requires a little more patience and control. Both boys kept it together, adapted to the conditions and did what they needed to do when it counted.

Seeing them both on the top step on the same race day was a great way to finish the weekend. They put so much time into this sport, and days like this make all the long hours at the track worth it.

Two different drivers, two different strengths, but both showing up and giving it everything they’ve got. 🔥

🏁 Battle at the Beach 2026 🌊

What a weekend.

Nixon was right in the fight from the start, qualifying P3 in the pre-final. Saturday ended with a scary rollover for him that brought the race to an early end and a trip to the hospital, leaving him with plenty of abrasions, bruises, and a sore neck. After a post-race penalty, he was bumped from P2 to P3. Unfortunately, his weekend was over after the crash.

A few days later, after developing new symptoms back home in SK, Nixon was diagnosed with a minor concussion and whiplash. We’re incredibly thankful he’s recovering well and can’t wait to see him back on track when he’s ready.❤️‍🩹

Mateo had one of those weekends where nothing seemed to come easy, but he never stopped digging. He finished P5 in Saturday’s pre-final before crossing the line P4 in the final. Sunday showed his determination, finishing P4 in the pre-final and crossing the line P3 in the final. A bumper penalty moved him back to P4, leaving him 5th overall for J2s at Battle at the Beach.

Racing can be humbling. Sometimes the results don’t reflect the effort, determination, and heart these kids pour into every lap. We’re proud of both boys for their resilience and perseverance through a weekend that tested them in more ways than one.

Time to heal, regroup, and get ready for the next one. 💙💚🏁
