Help Us Secure Federal Investment in Canada’s Snowmobile Trails – We Need Your Voice!

Dear members, supporters, and club leaders,
Canada's snowmobile trail network is aging rapidly. Bridges, culverts, signage, and grooming equipment across the country are now more than 25 years old, while increasingly frequent extreme weather events have already forced the closure of hundreds of kilometres of trails. For decades, volunteers have built, maintained, and sustained this nationally significant network. Yet, unlike roads, public transit, and other critical infrastructure, it has not received the sustained federal infrastructure investment needed to remain safe, reliable, and resilient.
CCSO is working to change that. We have launched a national campaign asking the federal government for a one-time $55 million investment to renew trail infrastructure and equipment across Canada, and to make winter trails eligible for federal infrastructure and climate funding going forward.
Take two minutes to send your letter:

Click the link, enter your information, and send a ready-made letter to your Member of Parliament and key federal ministers. Optional to add a line or two about what the trails mean to you, your family, or your community.
Why this matters:
• 131,000 kilometres of volunteer-managed trails, the largest recreational trail network in Canada
• 1.5 million riders supporting 66,000 jobs and $20.6 billion in annual economic activity
• Year-round corridors providing rural connectivity, trade routes, and emergency access in northern, rural, and Indigenous communities
MPs take notice when letters come from their own constituents. Every riding that shows up strengthens our case in Ottawa.
To our club and association leaders: please put this campaign in front of your members. Share this letter through your website, social media, newsletters, and meetings. A few minutes of effort from each club adds up to a national voice that cannot be overlooked.
Thank you for standing up for our trails.
