Gaining movement anywhere
helps with Movement everywhere.
So work with what’s working.
Instead of getting tunnel visioned
and forcing yourself to move the parts that hurt
or the parts that don’t move well
Or the parts that are weaker…
start by moving the parts that already feel good to move.
Start by moving the parts that are already strong and Mobile.
Everything is connected.
When you work with what’s already ,
the challenging areas get a little easier to move.
They get a little stronger.
They get less painful.
Start small and build on that.
Consistency is more important than quantity.

Have you ever been told you have a tight psoas?!?
The psoas muscle is the filet mignon in our bodies.
It’s not a flat band of tissue it’s a juicy, cylindrical meaty muscle that functions best when it can slide and glide freely in all directions.
With this approach, you can hold the psoas as a volume and and work it in relationship to the rest of the body.
Gone are the days where we dig into the psoas trying to bully it into submission!
Hopefully we can all agree… That doesn’t work.
Instead, while ‘hugging’ the volume of the psoas, assist it into:
✅ flexion/ extension
✅ lateral flexion right and left
✅ rotation right and left
✅ cephalo-caudad glides
It’s a delicious way to hydrate and bring life to the psoas.
This release brings more ease and freedom to the lower back and hips. 😘 💋 Love it!
West Island Today
Loop-de-loop - This neuro exercise is like the chef’s kiss of bilateral, rotational, proprioceptive complexity. It’s basically a little brain‑body puzzle disguised as a hand game. Give it a try. Notice if you get faster, smoother or more accurate over time. But also see what else changes in your body. Does pain shift? Does a previously weak area get stronger? Does A previously tight area finally release? Change the inputs TO your brain to get better outputs FROM your brain.
A unique and effective way for releasing the diaphragm, the psoas, and the thoracolumbar fascia.
The water is such an effective way to work, the coxofemoral joints (the hips) and the spine.
You can easily guide the femur into internal & external rotation, and anterior, posterior, medial and lateral glides.
Using the water to move the pelvis around the hip joint
results in deeper more profound change
as the whole body integrates each new impulse...
From head to toe and everything in between.
I love this work!!🥰😍

Alternating hand shapes
Can you see how slow I’m moving & hard I am concentrating and yet I’m still making mistakes?!
Making mistakes is the best way for the 🧠 to learn.
Embrace your mistakes and any lack of coordination with curiosity and keep at it until it becomes smoother and easier.
clarify inputs to the brain to get better outputs from the brain
✅less pain
✅more coordination
✅better balance
✅improved strength
✅less tension
If you’re like me and like to know the ‘why’ behind these fascinating bodies of ours, keep reading!
🧠 This is how it works:
1. Premotor Cortex - plans the shape of the hands
2. Supplementary Motor Area - this is the rhythm keeper, handles sequencing, switching shapes and keeps the hands coordinated.
3. Primary Motor Cortex - executes the actual movement
4. Posterior Parietal Cortex - let’s you know “my left hand is in this shape while my right hand is in this shape.”
5. Corpus Callosum - the bridge that lets the two sides coordinate without copying each other
6. Basal Ganglia - initiates each new shape while inhibiting the previous one
If you notice any changes in your body, after trying this one for a few weeks, let me know when the comments.
