Summer is in full swing, especially with this hot weather in Ottawa! Keeping you updated on two recent news items for Ontario Residents:

1) Beginning July 1, automobile insurance is now the first payor for medical, rehabilitation and accident benefits (excepting medications) for Ontarians injured in an automobile accident. This change applies to those Ontarians injured on or after July 1, 2026. Previously, individuals in an accident had to exhaust their private insurance before accessing automobile insurance benefits. This is great news!

2) The Ontario government is taking steps to move forward with authorizing chiropractors to directly order diagnostic ultrasounds for their patients. We have long advocated for chiropractors having the authority to order advanced diagnostic imaging to match their training and expertise in spine, muscle and joint care to support patients in Ontario. This will mean fewer unnecessary visits to already very busy Primary Care Practitioners and more comprehensive care for patients!

Yoga in the Park starts tonight! 6:00-7:00 pm at Hydro Park in beautiful Arnprior. I'll be teaching on July 22, but amazing teachers are offering a variety of movement classes every week throughout the summer and early September! Take advantage of this free opportunity 😎

A couple of small tips to note:
- Appointments cannot be booked less than 24 hours in advance. If you require a same-day appointment, please call the clinic at 613-695-0266
- Current patients can use their email on file to access booking; you do not need to make a new account

I'm very excited to share that, as of April 7th, you'll be able to book ALL appointment types with me online, even new patients! Until then, new patients must still call or email the clinic to book (613-695-0266 / [email protected]). Existing patients can use the link in my bio to book follow-ups and re-examinations. Happy to offer this much more convenient service! I would love to see you again if you haven't been in for a while, or meet your friends, family, co-workers, team mates and other loved ones.
