Scottish actor Brian Cox, best known for playing Logan Roy in HBO’s Succession, isn’t afraid to speak his mind. In an interview with TRT World’s Ghida Fakhry, Cox explained why he refuses to stay quiet despite concerns about Hollywood backlash, saying: “I’m too old, too tired, and too talented, quite frankly, to take any sh-t. I just feel that I don’t want to do that anymore.”

After decades in the industry, Cox says he’s choosing honesty over fear and no longer feels the need to hold back.

For generations, Anishinaabe communities have understood that caring for the waters and the fish that live within them is a shared responsibility. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians recently continued that tradition by completing its annual spring fish stocking season, releasing more than 1.18 million walleye and lake whitefish into waters across Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan. Through its Natural Resources Division, the tribe has spent decades investing in fisheries restoration, combining scientific research with long-standing cultural knowledge to help strengthen fish populations throughout the Great Lakes.

The tribe's fisheries program reflects a long-term commitment to stewardship rather than a short-term solution. Since opening the Barbeau Hatchery in 1999, the Sault Tribe has released more than 22 million walleye, while recent efforts to develop pond-based rearing methods for lake whitefish are helping address declines in one of the Great Lakes' most culturally and ecologically important species. By raising young fish until they are better prepared to survive in the wild, the program supports healthier populations and more resilient ecosystems.

For the Anishinaabe, species such as walleye and lake whitefish represent far more than recreational or commercial resources. They are woven into traditional foods, seasonal harvesting practices, community teachings, and the enduring relationship between people and the waters that sustain them. Programs like this demonstrate how Indigenous stewardship, scientific management, and long-term planning can work together to help protect the Great Lakes for future generations.

🌿 "Earth is now our only shareholder." 🌍

In a world where chasing net worth usually dominates the headlines, Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard decided to write a completely different story.

Instead of taking the company public or selling it for billions, Chouinard and his family transferred 100% of the company's voting stock and non-voting stock to a specially designed trust and non-profit organization.

What does that actually mean?

100% of profits not reinvested back into running Patagonia will now go directly toward fighting climate change and protecting wild land across the globe.

Chouinard officially gave up his billionaire status to ensure the brand stays true to its core purpose forever.

Louis D. Brandeis served on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1916 to 1939 and was known as “the People’s Lawyer” long before he joined the Court. A leader of the Progressive Era, he challenged corporate monopolies, fought corruption, defended workers and consumers, and warned that concentrated economic power threatened democratic government. What I wouldn’t give for nine justices like him in the Court and a thousand more across the judicial system.
