It’s quiet and I am trying really hard not to doom scroll…so of course I am going to start making bracelets for no apparent reason other than I have a market in 41 days.

A few months ago I made these little game trays for us because board games apparently come with approximately 47,000 tiny pieces and Mack was tired of them living their best chaotic lives all over the table.

I already had the leather.
I already had the snaps.
So I made some.

And then my husband said, “You should sell these.”

Sooooo… apparently I married my product development team. 😂

They’re simple. They’re reusable. They take seconds to put together.

And, as demonstrated above, they make a very satisfying little snap snap snap.

They will be available at my fall market in October…and possibly on the website (if I get my -ish together and photograph the ones I complete before market time).

Necessity turns product launch¿?

Sometimes my husband says something and my response is “ooh I can make that.” Followed by silence and my inability to finish a project I had no business attempting.
But, these, oh these are different and so very useful for our little house if board games 😅

Let me just pause in appreciation of how cute Piggy Smalls is looking after two coats 🖤🐷 and we are both looking forward to continuing to prep for my return to vendor markets …or at least market, for now.

It was about two years ago that I took a step back from a whole lot of everything.

Small-biz-wise, that meant stepping away from markets.

The cost was getting harder to justify, and too often I was walking away having spent more than I made. So I made a decision that felt a little scary at the time…

I let it all go.

The cutesy carousel displays? Gone.
The playful tabletop displays? Gone.
The “maybe, if I ever…” stuff I was holding onto? Gone.

I didn’t need any of it anymore. And honestly, letting it go felt like letting go of the version of me who was constantly waiting for maybe someday.

I just wanted to make things because I loved making them.

And somewhere along the way, I started finding my way back to myself, too.

Dolly said, “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”

So… here I am.

Almost two years later, I’m taking another little leap.

I don’t have it all figured out.
I don’t have the old setup.
I don’t even know exactly what this next chapter looks like yet.

But I’m here.
I’m making.
I’m showing up.
And I’m doing it on purpose. 🖤❤️
