Royal City F.C.

Our Div 3 team finished the season in first place with a 13-1-2 record. At the end of the season, due to an unforeseen situation, we were penalized and stripped of 6 points putting us in a 2way tie for first.

On Friday night we played off, against Regent FC, for the 1st place title.

At the end of the first half we were tied 1-1. With the clock ticking down we were losing 2-1 but pressing hard for the tie. With two minutes remaining in regulation time we tied the game 2-2, putting it into extra time. Each team scored one more goal making it 3-3.

Off to PK’s we went to decided the game, winning the the penalty kicks with a decisive 4-1 tally.

We persevered and we can now officially say that we are VMSL Champions and Promoted to Div. 2!
