The Making of the Carmine Bear π»
γ
As you might remember, last February TheBigOlive gave up the ghost in the Portuguese Steamroller Massacre π±
It was a wonderful replica of the Compressor shaped with π by owner of
We loved so much that board because it is a fabulous multipurpose toy! And, that's why, a few weeks ago we asked from to make a replica of that lovely board again.
She was called The Compressor. She was called TheBigOlive. Now that she's rising from the dead for the second time, we will no longer call her by those names 'cause she'll only answer to the name Carmine Bear.
We came pick her up 10 days ago and since then, we only took her for a ride when waves are calling! Sorry for the rest of our babes, but we're more than thrilled to ride her again π

What do you think about these two? π
γ
We know.. it's not summer for us anymore but we struggle letting it go βοΈπ
To keep the summer vibes, there's nothing better than sharing summer toys, right?
And, hopefully, somewhere on the planet you can still enjoy the summer waves!!
With which one would you go? And do you dream of exploring the aussie surf spot too?
Honestly, we're just in love with these two models, and we'd just take both for some party waves in the Aussie hot water π
Tell us in the comments which one is your favorite and where you would go (in Australia of course) to try it ππ

There is nothing like going on a surf trip mid-September πβοΈ
γ
A few days ago, our squad went to Sagres, Algarve π΅πΉ
We put every boards in stock on the roof of our unbreakable Freelander and we simply went South! Praia do Tonel, praia do castelejo, praia da Ponta Ruiva, Praia da Arrifana, Praia do Amado, Zavial and so on! We really explored in-depth all South coast.
When not surfing, we were working on our new project! The salty air gave us a lot of ideas and inspiration. Soon, we'll talk to you about it π
Above all, we were there to celebrate Oliver's birthday π
Now, we can say that it has become a yearly ritual. Each early September, we ride the waves of the South π

6'0" VELOX - Put your left foot forward man and ride π
γ
Is there any reg surfers loving riding asym in the room?
Asymmetrical surfboards is a way to find the harmony between design and function, but also to help up surf with ease. You can't denied that the human body is asymmetrical, so why shouldn't be your boards?
Exploring and trying different things is in shapers' DNA. Their ultime goal is to make it work by trying and incorporating those elements into their boards. Some might not see them like that, but we think that shapers are designers like any others.
That beauty up there really catch our eye π
Her shape ain't radical like asym usually do, it's more subtle. In fact, you barely see it until you get a closer look at her in all the details. Aside from the asym outline, what's interesting is how he adapted the rest of the board. The rails, rocker and concaves have to be taken into considerations as well 'cause it helps you turns and to properly fit the shape of the wave.
Moreover, she's got a classical fin set-up with one fin on the toe-side and two on the heel-side combining the twin fin and quad fin sensation in just one board. In short, you'll get only the advantages of both, thus removing or at least avoiding the disadvantages.
Wanna get rid of that awkward backhand feeling? Well, that's the perfect combo π
For those new at this, test one (we've got some insane ones in stock π link in bio). And for those used to it, you might want a new one in your quiver. Designed for Hawaii waves by Hawaiian hands π
