TRY HARD SERIES is coming to Markham.

For five days, we've set 12 unique comp-style boulder problems packed with big moves, creative beta, and plenty of surprises.

Free to enter and open to all ages and ability levels. Whether you're looking to try something new or chase every problem on the wall, there's something for everyone.

Here's how it works:
• Stop by anytime starting at 6 PM on June 22 through June 26.
• Pick up a scorecard at the front desk.
• Climb as many of the 12 comp-style boulder problems as you can.
• Have each send verified with a witness's initials.
• Keep your scorecard throughout the week and return it to the front desk before 9 PM on June 26.

The more problems you send, the more raffle entries you'll earn for Hub gift cards and membership credit.

Five days.
Twelve comp-style boulder problems.

How many will you send?

We’re hiring Route Setters at Hub Climbing Mississauga.

We’re growing our setting crew and looking for someone who cares about the craft of building movement, not just filling a wall.

Hub Mississauga gives setters a bigger canvas than most gyms in the GTA: some of the tallest walls, a huge bouldering area, and deep lead and top rope terrain.

You’ll set both boulders and routes, work with a supportive low-ego crew, and help shape the climbing experience for a busy and varied climbing community.

What we’re looking for:

At least 1 year of setting experience across both boulders and ropes.

Intermediate and advanced setters are both welcome. We care about reliability, safety, a good eye for movement, and someone who is easy to work with on a shared wall.

Most of our setting happens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Availability for two of the three days can work. This is a part-time hourly role.

What you get:

$20 to $29/hr depending on experience and role level, from setter through team lead.

Experienced Head Setters with strong rope-setting leadership experience may qualify for compensation above this range based on experience. Hub offers one of the largest and most varied setting canvases in the GTA, and we’re prepared to be competitive on pay for the right leadership fit.

Maze Climber 2.0
OVERHANG EDITION

For 4 nights only, the maze returns to Hub Markham, but this year the challenge goes overhang. (Vertical was only Level 1.0!)

Follow the path through each climbing zone without crossing the lines. The higher you climb, the harder it gets.

Cross the lines? You lose points.

Reach the upper levels and things get serious fast.

Earn raffle entries based on your score for a chance to win gift cards.

The more points you earn, the more chances you have to win.

No sign-up needed.
Just show up and climb.

Unlimited attempts across all 4 nights.
Your highest score each night becomes your final submission.

The maze gets harder the higher you climb. Most people don’t make it to the top.

Update on the Kilter Board repair:

The soonest service appointment we were able to secure with OnSite is this Saturday.

The Kilter Board will be unavailable starting at 9:00 AM on Saturday while technicians work on repairs to the unit. At this time, we have not been told how long the work will take.

We are hopeful the repairs will fully resolve the issue, but we cannot guarantee the unit will be fully operational afterward until the work has been completed and tested.
