After celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Guyana's 60th year of independence, our beautiful doll is now in her home. After I was unable to find a material for her skirt that was a perfect green, I decided to create my own and added each rhinestone, one by one, to create her skirt - symbolizing Guyana's lush rainforest and agriculture. The white band was sewn onto the skirt - symbolizing "the land of many waters". Her blouse was sewn in red satin representing the passion and spirit of the people of Guyana and a black band representing the endurance and resilience of the nation. Draped over her shoulder is a golden dupatta - symbolizing Guyana's rich mineral wealth and bright future. Her bangles combine all the colours of the "Golden Arrowhead"
I hope you all enjoy her as much as I loved creating her. One people, one nation, one destiny 🇬🇾
Sincerely,
Reena Nauth ❤️
