The Kawartha Cubs 13U Baseball team is heading to the Ontario Baseball Association Provincials this weekend in Orillia!

Let's cheer on the Cubs as they wrap up an amazing season and make some lasting memories together. 💙🐻

🎉 Year-End Team Party & Dinner Friday, September 4 at 6:00 PM 📍 Best Western Mariposa, Orillia

The team will provide the main course. Families are asked to bring a side dish, appetizer, or dessert to share. We'll also be celebrating with year-end gifts for players and coaches!

📅 Game #2 Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 AM 📍 Location and opponent TBD

⚾ Additional games will depend on the results of the first two games and would be played at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Saturday.

The Kawartha Cubs 13U are taking a well-deserved rest before they hit the diamond at the Ontario Baseball Association Championships in Orillia, September 4th-6th! 🏆

After a season filled with hard work, dedication, teamwork, and unforgettable memories, these Cubs are getting ready for one final push against the best teams in Ontario. 💪⚾

We couldn't be prouder of how far this group has come. Now it's time to rest the bats, recharge the legs, and dream of big hits and great plays! 😴🐻⚾

🎂 Coach Brendan’s Early Birthday Bash!

​With the season winding down, the 13U Kawartha Cubs couldn’t let October roll around without properly celebrating our Head Coach!

​After tonight’s game, the team surprised Coach Brendan with a stack of berry cupcakes to celebrate his upcoming birthday a little early.

Big thanks to Coach Brendan for all his dedication, leadership, and hustle on the diamond this year—we hope the sweet treats made it a night to remember!

🥉PLAYED THE BRONZE GAME AT THE CNE! 🥉

​What an incredible day of baseball under the shadow of the CN Tower!
The 13U Kawartha Cubs dug deep, played with huge hearts and finished playing for the Bronze Medal at the CNE Baseball Tournament! ⚾️🇨🇦

​Here is how the action went down:
​Game 1 vs. Welland Junior Jackfish: A tough opening battle against a hot-batting Welland squad. Nixon D. stayed red-hot at the plate going 2-for-2, while Franky D. anchored the defense with 5 big plays and an RBI to keep the squad fighting!
Congrats to Jace J, #59 who earned Player Of The Game!

​Game 2 vs. HLS Wolves (8-0 Win): Total bounce-back dominance! Emmett C. pitched a 5-inning shutout jewel with 7 Ks, while Jack P. and Camden D. combined for 4 hits and 4 RBIs to lead a flawless, error-free team win!

​Game 3 vs. Mavericks OBA: A hard-fought battle to close out the tournament. Blake S. and Jack P. led the offense with multi-hit games!!

​Huge congratulations to all the players, coaches, and parents for an amazing tournament run!

Next stop: Monday’s exhibition tune-up against the 12U Cubs as we keep the momentum rolling straight into Provincials!

Former MLB pitcher Jason Green joined our practice tonight to help the boys dial in their pitching ahead of the CNE Tournament this weekend! 🚀

He was absolutely fantastic with the team, sharing some incredible tips and insights. He even brought out the radar gun, and safe to say, the boys were throwing some absolute heat! 💨⚾

Huge thanks to Jason for giving back to the game and inspiring the next generation. We're feeling locked in and ready for the weekend! 🏆💪
