Helping successful women feel happier at work and at home.

There’s nothing quite like the sound of your grandkids laughing. 🤍

Feeling especially grateful today for time spent with the people we love.

For birthdays and belly laughs.
For little hands to hold.
For running, playing, exploring and trying our best to keep up. 😊

And maybe most of all, for the health to be able to do it.

I don’t take that gift lightly.

Because I think sometimes we’re so busy moving through our lives that we forget to notice just how much of what we once hoped and prayed for is already here.

The people we love.
A body that lets us participate.
Laughter around the table.
Time together.

Maybe that’s the reminder today.

Don’t wait for something extraordinary to happen before you call your life good.

Look around.

There’s probably something worth treasuring right in front of you. 🤍

I used to care a LOT about what other people thought of me.

So I became really good at people-pleasing.

Reading the room.
Adjusting myself.
Figuring out which version of Laurie would be most accepted.

I called those my different “coats.”

And after wearing them for long enough, I started losing sight of which one was actually mine.

Maybe you know this feeling too.

At work. With family. With friends.

Always adjusting. Always wondering:

What will they think of me?

My friend, you don’t need a different version of yourself for every room you walk into.

You get to be you. 🤍

And if you’re no longer sure who that is underneath all the pleasing and adapting, that’s work I love helping women explore.

We’ve been talking about doing this for YEARS.

And now we finally get to say…

ELEVATE is happening!! 🤍

The three of us met through coaching and somewhere along the way became the kind of friends who coach each other, challenge each other, dream together, travel together and laugh… A LOT.

And for years we’ve wondered:

What if we brought our different areas of expertise together and created something really special for women?

Well, we did. 🥰

On October 17th, we’re opening the doors to just 20 women for an intimate day together in Lynchburg, Virginia.

A day to step away from the noise of everyday life.

To be cared for.

To laugh and connect.

To get coached.

To look at your life with fresh eyes and perhaps see something you haven’t been able to see on your own.

Because your life isn’t one-dimensional.

Your work, relationships, environment, emotions, dreams… they’re all connected.

And that’s what makes having three coaches in the room so powerful.

We see different pieces.
We ask different questions.
And together, we’re going to help you get clearer about where you are, what you want and what may be getting in the way.

We cannot WAIT to share this day with you.

Three coaches. Three friends. One beautiful room filled with women ready to ELEVATE. ✨

Could one of those women be you?

Looking at these four little people I love so much, staring out at the world ahead of them, I keep thinking about the world they’re growing up in. 🤍

We may not be able to protect our kids and grandkids from every cruel comment, online bully or person who chooses to tear them down.

But we can equip them for what to do when it happens.

And I believe that starts with what they see us model.

When someone criticizes us, do we let their words turn us against ourselves?

Do we start questioning what we know, wondering if maybe they’re right?

Or do we go the other direction—reacting to their behaviour by matching it?

Their anger becomes our anger.
Their cruelty changes how we show up.

Or can we pause and trust what we know to be true?

Can we speak up when something isn’t right?

Can we ask for help when we need it?

And can we eventually release the other person with love—without allowing their behaviour to change who we are?

We can tell the younger generation to trust themselves.

We can tell them to speak up.

We can tell them it’s okay to ask for help.

But imagine the power of letting them watch us do it.

Ladies, I believe this is a conversation we need to start having—with each other and with the young people we love.

Because we might not always be able to protect them.

But we can help prepare them for the moments when we aren’t there. 🤍

If you know another woman who wants to equip and protect the people she loves, send this to her.

P.S. Maybe tonight is a good night to start the conversation. Ask the young people you love what they would do if someone bullied them online. Do they know who they would tell? Do they know they can ask for help?

And remind them: someone else’s words never get to determine what they believe about themselves.

We can’t protect the people we love from every hurtful word or difficult person.

But we can help equip them for when it happens.

To trust what they know.
To speak up when something isn’t right.
To ask for help when they need it.

And perhaps most importantly?

We can model it for them. 🤍

I believe this is a conversation we need to start having, ladies.

Send this to another woman who wants to equip and protect the people she loves.

May we all pray a little more like Dolly, and carry her beautiful light forward. 🤍

When your husband is driving you CRAZY… 😬

It’s so easy to match his frustration, his tone, his reaction.

But here’s the reminder:

His reaction belongs to him.
Yours belongs to you.

You still get to decide who you want to be in that moment. 🤍

And yes… even when he’s driving you crazy. 😂

Does this sound familiar?

You’re paying for the gym membership… but you can’t remember the last time you actually went. 🙋‍♀️

Before you add it to the list of things you’re not doing “well enough,” swipe through.

There might be a kinder—and far more effective—way to get yourself back there. 🤍

And maybe today, once is enough.

08/24/2026

Paying for the gym membership but somehow never making it there? 🙋‍♀️

Before you decide you need more discipline, stop making yourself feel bad about it.

Reconnect with WHY you wanted it in the first place.

Then forget 4 or 5 workouts.

How could you make space for ONE this week?

One counts.
Celebrate it.
Then build from there. 🤍

It started with a simple invitation.

I was out for my morning walk when I remembered I needed to invite a community group to gather for pizza.

So I spoke my thoughts into ChatGPT, asked it to clean them up and sent the invitation when I got home.

Efficient? Absolutely.

But according to one person who received it, it was also impersonal and fake.

What began as a difference of opinion became increasingly personal.

Soon, it wasn’t just my words being questioned. It was my authenticity.

Eventually, I said what I needed to say and blocked further communication.

It may make our next in-person gathering a little awkward. We’ll see. 🤪

But after the initial sting, I got curious.

I believe there is at least 10% of truth in almost everything. So I asked myself:

Am I allowing AI to make me less authentic?

Here’s where I landed.

I unapologetically use ChatGPT to help me write.

Not because I don’t have something to say, but because I have so much I want to say - and only so many hours in a day.

I can speak my thoughts into my phone while I’m walking and have them organized before I get home. That gives me more time to coach my clients, play with my grandbabies and be present for the life right in front of me.

AI doesn’t create my stories, beliefs, experience or care for people.

It helps me communicate what is already mine.

This experience reminded me that we can disagree without attacking one another. And we can thoughtfully embrace new tools without surrendering who we are.

Authenticity isn’t determined by the tools we use. It’s whether our words are genuinely rooted in who we are and what we believe.

And yes, ChatGPT helped me clean up this post. 😉

I’d usually ask where you land on using AI to help with personal writing - but I’m a little gun-shy today, as you can imagine. 🤪
