Identity is the root. Habits are the branches.
An adventurous person goes on adventures.
A healthy person takes care of their body.
A resilient person stays steady in the storm.
A tough person doesn’t stay down - they rest, regroup, and rise.
Those behaviours aren’t random.
They’re expressions of identity.
If you can never seem to achieve your goals…
If you keep slipping, restarting, or wanting to give up…
If you feel like maybe your goals are “too big” or you should lower them…
Maybe the problem isn’t your effort.
Maybe it’s your identity.
Because when your identity shifts, your behaviour follows.
And when your behaviour shifts, your habits change.
And when your habits change, your goals become inevitable.
You don’t force your way into a new life.
You become the kind of person who lives it.
Start with identity.
The actions will come.

Here is what actually happens when you take time away from lifting:
Week 1 - muscles become less “full”. They may look flatter or softer but the muscle tissue is still there.
Week 2 - your nervous system isn’t quite as sharp at firing your muscles. You might feel weaker but the actual muscle fibers are still there.
Week 3+ - You may start to lose some muscle tone but it is gradual. You don’t lose everything and you don’t go back to zero. Your body holds onto the adaptations you’ve created longer than people think.
Months off - yea you may lose some muscle tone but muscle memory means your body rebuilds faster than it did the first time.
Life happens. Stress happens. Travel happens. Illness happens.
Your body is resilient.
Your muscles will not disappear overnight.
Fear based culture tells you that consistency means never missing a day.
Body literacy tells you consistency means getting back to it again and again without panic or shame.

There are habits that boost wellbeing and then there are anchor habits. These anchors set your baseline.
Anchor habits:
Regulate your nervous system
Lower tension
Improve emotional clarity
Make other goal aligned choices easier
My anchor habits are stretching and meditating. When they are present I feel so much better. I have more energy, less brain fog and a much higher capacity. When they are missing my wellbeing drops.
If you’re trying to improve your wellbeing the answer isn’t more habits. It’s identifying your anchors.

Your body is always speaking to you. But it doesn’t speak in words. It speaks in sensations and feelings.
When you stop treating these signals as problems to fix and start treating them as messages to receive everything shifts.
You stop feeling like you are in a fight with your body. You stop feeling like your body is betraying you.
Instead you’ll find alignment. You’ll discover what habits aren’t optimal for the life you want to live. You’ll learn what your body actually needs so you can take action in an aligned way.
As humans I believe too many of us try to live exclusively through our thinking brain. If I’m always tired I need to think of a solution to fix it. But I was trying to think my way through a feeling problem. Everything changed when I recognized that my thinking brain is just part of my being.
My intuition and body signals are so much more important than I ever realized. When I embraced these parts of myself something amazing happened!
My stress dropped significantly. My anxiety became quiet. My thoughts feel clearer. My energy sky rocketed. My capacity increased to something more than I thought I was capable of.
This didn’t happen overnight. It took effort and sticking to the habits that are aligned with how I want to live my life. But man it is all worth it!

Being hydrated is one thing. But the process of becoming hydrated has a large and understandable barrier for some. And that is the increased need to p*e.
I get it; some jobs or responsibilities really do make it so difficult or impossible to use the bathroom as often as you need to when you are drinking more water.
Here is something important: the increased need to p*e is temporary. When you start to drink more water your kidneys produce more urine so blood sodium doesn’t become too diluted. This is why you have to p*e so much.
When you continue to drink enough water to be hydrated your body fills water stores and balances blood sodium so now you can drink that much water and you won't have the excessive need to p*e.
Think of it this way: when soil is really dry the first bit of water runs straight through. The earth can’t hold it yet. But once the soil softens and expands it starts to hold onto more moisture. Then things stabilize and the water is a part of the landscape again.
In the human body this process takes a few days and that’s it! It is uncomfortable at times and inconvenient but it is a hill that once you cross it being hydrated feels sooooo much better!!
A way you can support your body through this is to drink electrolytes in addition to water. This will help your body maintain proper blood sodium levels so you may not need to p*e as frequently. Making the process smoother and sometimes shorter.
I always recommend increasing hydration at a time when you have a few days off from work or away from whatever makes using the bathroom more frequently so difficult. I know this isn’t always possible but if it is it can be a huge help!
As a coach I don’t just tell you what your body needs. I help you figure out how to make the habit stick. Saying “drink more water you are dehydrated” isn’t helpful. A plan to overcome the barriers you face so you can drink more water is. This is what I do.

Hydration plays a huge role in muscle function.
Even mild dehydration significantly affects muscles making them less flexible and elastic.
This means you feel stiffer and tighter.
So, if you’ve been working on your mobility and you can’t seem to gain any flexibility and it always feels like you’re starting at square one you may be dehydrated.
Try drinking more water and electrolytes and without changing your mobility routine you will notice a difference!
If you can’t seem to get your mobility to improve the way you like even with regular stretching, that is a sign to zoom out and look at your body as a whole instead of being super zoomed in on one part of it.
I coach body literacy; the plan that helps you learn and understand your body so you can live in alignment rather than a constant fight.
If that sounds like the breath of fresh air you’ve been waiting for, send me a message and I’ll walk you through what body literacy coaching looks like!

When a human body isn’t getting enough protein it lets you know. The problem is most people don’t know how to listen. So they feel off but don’t know why.
Here is what not eating enough protein feels like:
❌Tired
❌Cravings
❌Weak muscles
❌Low mood
❌Irritability
❌Hair shedding
❌Brittle nails
❌Not feeling satisfied after eating
❌Getting hungry pretty quickly after eating
Fueling your body with protein feels completely different.
You’ll feel:
✨Energized
✨Mentally clear
✨Focused
✨Less cravings
✨Better mood
✨Less tension in your body
✨Stronger
✨Satisfied after meals
✨Recovered
Feeling off is a sign to investigate. Your body is trying to tell you something. I teach you how to hear what it’s saying so you truly feel your best.
Most people have no idea how good they can feel. If you want to discover just how good you can feel, send me a message and I’ll walk you through it!

Most people walk around mildly dehydrated and don’t realize it.
It doesn’t feel like “thirst.” It feels like:
• irritability
• brain fog
• feeling tired for no reason
• headaches
• sluggish digestion
• feeling “off” but can’t explain why
This is what happens when your body doesn’t have enough water and electrolytes to regulate mood, energy, digestion, temperature, and nervous‑system stability. Even a small drop in hydration changes how you feel.
Hydration feels completely different:
• clearer thinking
• better mood
• smoother digestion
• way more energy
• less tension in the body
Your body will feel so good when it has what it needs.
If you’re tired of feeling “off” and want to understand your body instead of fighting it, send me a message.
I can show you what body literacy actually looks like and how it is the easiest way to feel good!

TLDR - When you build body literacy, you learn what your body is asking for and WHY and that leads to sustainable, long‑term weight loss that actually feels good. Low‑carb diets create unnecessary suffering for most people, and they’re not the magic solution people think they are.
As a nutritionist I hear lots of people talking about “low carb” diets or how they need to stop eating carbs to lose weight. I want to tell you what low carb feels like and explain that it isn’t the weight loss fix it’s made out to be.
It isn’t just “less carbs” it’s a full nervous system shift and for most people it is unnecessary suffering and can lead to a rebound and weight gain.
With body literacy you can understand what your body is asking for and why. That leads to sustainable long term weight loss results and you will feel great doing it!
If you’re tired of feeling confused by your body, send me a message and I’ll walk you through what body‑literacy coaching actually looks like.

Do you feel frustrated about not reaching your goals? Do you feel like you are doing what you “should” but you aren’t seeing the results?
I hear you!!
Traditional nutrition and fitness plans are based on rules. Rules for how much water to drink, how much protein to eat, how many days to go to the gym, ect.
This approach lacks something huge: body literacy.
Our bodies let us know when it needs water, protein, movement, rest; but we have been conditioned to ignore all of it. We are conditioned to follow external rules rather than internal cues.
My program is different! I teach you how to get to a state where you can hear and listen to the cues your body is giving you! This approach means that as your body’s needs change (because it does change) you automatically adapt because the plan is to listen to your body!
What you will gain with this program:
✨More energy
✨More confidence
✨The physique you’ve been dreaming of
✨Clearer thinking
✨Happiness
I don’t coach rules. I coach a sustainable lifestyle.
