This one was made to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary, and the request was extra special… replicate their own boat!

So we did just that, from the shape and colours to the cabin, canopy, railings, motor and all those little details, I tried to capture their actual boat as closely as I could!

And this little boat cake had quite the adventure of its own… it travelled all the way from Kamloops to Quesnel for the anniversary party!

There’s something so rewarding about creating a cake that isn’t just a cake but a little piece of someone’s memories and life. 🤍

50 years together is definitely something worth celebrating and I was so honoured to be a small part of it. 🥂✨

It’s honestly insane how fast summer has flown by. The amount of back to school shopping I’ve already done this week is alarming 😂 Not sure why kids have to grow so much during summer break 🤦🏻‍♀️🙃

The rest of August is BUSY, but I’ve got one more weekend of vacation before we’re back to the everyday routine of school, sports, activities & everything else in between. 😅

Last weekend I had not one, but TWO back-to-back 3D cakes heading out and this cute little Land Cruiser was one of them! 🚙🎂

A whole lot of work, time & little details went into this one, but I’m so happy with how it turned out! 🥰

We are already over halfway through August and the weekends ahead are so incredibly busy. I get one more vacation weekend of “summer” if September 5–7 counts as summer 🙈 Then it’s full force into schedules, weddings, kid activities & all the fall things. 🍂

This cake seems fitting to post today, as I took my youngest to see the new Paw Patrol movie! 🐾🍿
And honestly… it’s actually SO good. I even enjoyed it! 😂

All fondant detailing, including three pups, Chase, Marshall & Rubble!
However… I only managed to photograph one of the pups 🤦🏻‍♀️ In my mind, I took photos of each but that’s what happens when you somehow book 14 orders in one weekend 🫣🙈 You start to forget things when you take on so much! 😂

These characters were definitely not for the faint of heart! So much time went into creating each character, along with the Paw Patrol logo.

And what made this cake even better was having a customer who truly appreciated all the time and effort that went into it. The amazing feedback I received meant so much and made all those hours of work completely worth it.. even if I thought my hands were going to fall off 🙈🤍🙏🏼

These cakes are honestly some of the trickiest to pull off! I’ve spent so much time tweaking my recipes and figuring out the best way to assemble them to help prevent any shifting or transport issues because working with whipping cream in the summer heat doesn’t always cooperate. 🫠

But I’m happy to report the reviews are in and these cakes were DELICIOUS! 🙌🏼🍒
