Dear friends, family, and supporters,
After the 2022 World Championships, our team has made the hard decision to no longer continue campaigning for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. We would like to thank everyone for all the love and encouragement we have received these past two years. With your support, we were able to compete in twelve international events, complete twenty-five training camps (international & domestic), and learn more about our incredible sport every day. For that, we are eternally grateful and hope to give back by supporting future US Olympic campaigners.
Since the beginning, we have felt like there is nothing the two of us can’t accomplish together. For that reason, our team’s relationship goes beyond the confines of an Olympic quadrennium. Similar to Navy Seals going through B.U.D.S., our journey bonded us and engraved a bright blue butterfly to forever be worn on our hearts. We remain, and will always be, the best of friends.
Though concluding our team’s olympic aspirations was difficult, we know there is more on the horizon for us. Looking ahead, Lucy has her sights set on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games while Erika is exploring various different avenues of the sport. It is safe to say that we are both still obsessive about sailing and are driven by the fact that there is always more to learn. There’s nothing that could turn us away from the sport we fell in love with as kids.
Thank you again for your support. You gave us wings and we will continue to fly to new heights from here.
Sincerely,
Lucy & Erika

Christened in Canada! 🥂
Two days before heading up to the Worlds, we were notified our gear had arrived in Boston. We then flew into bean town, grabbed the masts, sails, bags, truck, & rib and started making our way to Halifax!
A 12.5 hour drive and four long days of boat work later, we finally splashed “ROOSTER” today! With the blessing of our wing women, Nadi and Lena, we know this boat feels the need for speed. 💨
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. We are fortunate to have your love and support through the good and challenging moments. Next up, the North Americans (Pre-Worlds) starting here in Nova Scotia on the 19th-21st & then the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 👊🦋.

There’s no denying that the last few weeks have been really hard. Flying straight back from a long stint abroad to coaching/trailering north, driving from Florida-Montreal-Nova Scotia for our World Championship preparation, and then having to cancel our training camp because our mast and sails were lost in transit from the Europeans has left us feeling a little defeated.
After realizing that our equipment may not arrive & this matter is unfortunately out of our control, we sadly booked flights back home yesterday.
We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received though. After posting online about our equipment struggle, our inbox was flooded with over 50 DMs with friends asking how they could help 🥹.
The sailing community is truly unique in that even when we are oceans and countries away, sailors are always there to help other sailors. Thank you all so much for your kindness. ♥️

Kiel Week starts tomorrow here in Germany! Excited for the crazy offshore puffy/shifty conditions this week will throw at us. If there’s one thing we love, it’s a little chaos 😛🤘.
