Canadian 49erFX sailors Antonia and Georgia Lewin-LaFrance from Chester, N.S., won their second gold medal in a row at a major international competition, this time at the 2026 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 European Championships held July 7-12 in Eckernförde, Germany.

After winning gold two weeks ago at the fourth Sailing Grand Slam regatta of the season, the 2026 edition of Kiel Week, Antonia and Georgia Lewin-LaFrance finished in first position out of 54 boats at the 2026 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 European Championships.

Les Canadiennes Antonia et Georgia Lewin-LaFrance remportent leur deuxième médaille d’or de suite aux Championnats européens en 49er, 49erFX et Nacra 17 2026

Les athlètes canadiennes en voile en 49erFX Antonia et Georgia Lewin-LaFrance de Chester, en Nouvelle-Écosse, ont remporté leur deuxième médaille d’or consécutive lors d’une grande compétition internationale, cette fois-ci aux Championnats européens en 49er, 49erFX et Nacra 17 2026, qui se sont déroulés du 7 au 12 juillet à Eckernförde, en Allemagne.

Après avoir remporté l’or il y a quelques semaines lors de la quatrième régate de la série du Grand chelem de voile de la saison, l’édition 2026 de la Kiel Week, Antonia et Georgia Lewin-LaFrance ont terminé premières dans une flotte comprenant 54 bateaux aux Championnats européens en 49er, 49erFX et Nacra 17 2026.

Sail Nova Scotia is delighted to welcome back to membership the Queen's Recreational Boating Association (QRBA) located at the Brooklyn Marina just outside Liverpool.
Here's some useful information about the club!
"The QRBA (Brooklyn |Marina) is a non-profit society formed in 1995 and operates 64 member docks and a 300 ft. visitor dock with 7 ft. depth at low tide (identified by yellow arrow), plus member run clubhouse which includes recreational space and activities, wi-fi, kitchen, bathroom and shower facilities.
Mooring spaces for both members and visitors are also available. Services include power and water for all docks.
We are situated in Herring Cove, a sheltered bay off Liverpool Bay, approximately 3 miles from the headlands providing easy access for boats traveling on the coast of southwest Nova Scotia. The community of Liverpool is within easy reach."

It's hard to believe that SailGP was in Halifax over a week ago! If you saw the F50s in the water, you likely saw other boats around doing many important jobs to keep things running smoothly.
