Did you know? π€ There's a common misconception about who can participate in Special Olympics BC - Grand Forks.
Special Olympics programs are designed for individuals who have been identified as having an intellectual disability or closely related cognitive developmental disabilityβincluding FASD and ASD βΎοΈ
Here is what you need to know:
π
No Upper Age Limit: From elementary school kids to adults and seniors, everyone is welcome!
π Open to the Community: We encourage children, youth, and adults from across the Boundary region to participate.
π΅ Just $25 Per Season: One low fee gives participants access to 8 sports from September through June.
π Our Commitment: We work hard at community fundraising to cover facility rentals, equipment, out-of-town competition, and travel fees to keep costs from becoming a barrier for our athletes.
π All Skill Levels Welcome: Competition is encouraged but optional. Whether you're trying a sport for the first time, making new friends, or competing hard, there's a place for you! (*some competitions have additional eligibility criteria)
