Light Up Gimli is back! For those of you unfamiliar with this wonderful initiative, let me fill you in. Lets work together to make Gimli the Christmas Capital!
Our goal is to get our whole community into the holiday spirit and be seen as Manitoba's Christmas Capital. There are many ways to spruce up the outside of our homes, whether it be lights stung up, decorations bought or made, snowmen / snow sculptures... The possibilities are endless, express yourselves and show everyone that our community has enthusiasm and spirit. Just imagine people coming fr
om far and wide to enjoy the lights of Manitoba's Christmas Capital. A prize for the best decorated exterior will be presented. With the weather and leaves turning I can't help but get excited for the upcoming Holiday Season. Gimli Community Development Corporation cannot wait to see the homes in our beautiful community all lit up,so they are offering
$500 in Gimli gold to the best lit up home. Now there are even more reasons for you to LIGHT UP your home this year. Spread the word, get your friends and neighbors involved, neighborhood with the most homes "lit up" will receive a plaque as well as bragging rights! What are you waiting for, it time to shop for Christmas lights! The winner will be announced on December 10th 2017 at the Skate with Santa happening at the Gimli Rec Centre
